Thank you, RLP, for the great work done. The good seed is kept in the youth because in a few days, they will have the power into their hands, and they should be ready to use every opportunity for the good of all.

Superb lecture that i stumbled upon! As a Malaysian chinese, living in Malaysia i can relate well to the sentiment of the 1972 Ugandan asian expulsions. Between us both countries. there are no expulsions in Malaysia. However the sentiment is the same, the notion that the British benefitted the asians indians and Chinese and therefore the indigenous malay peoples feel an unequal share. Therefore until today asians in Malaysia are treated like 3rd class citizens. I can go on and on but this video shares many commanilities for the argument for and against integrating settlers

A great lecture by Prof Mamdani and reflections by the panelists! There is indeed much to think about. I hope a separate lecture on expulsions of minorities in Africa and beyond can be organized.

As a woman, I acknowledge that men can be assaulted by either men or females. In fact, the grand majority of females lie about getting sexually assaulted. Men, on the other hand, get laughed/shamed/accused of lying when they tell someone they got raped by a woman. Male rape with a female rapist is common, but females in jobs that have power (jury, police officer, etc) don't believe the men. In fact, females weren't intended to have jobs. Male rape victims are common, just that those who were assaulted by a female don't report it, and if they do report it, they're just not likely to be believed.

Thank you all for the great presentations. It's quite unfortunate that whenever we talk about gender and gender based violence of any form, the first thing that comes to our mind is women. In fact, for most people anything that has to do with gender concerns women/girls. This mindset has sidelined boys and men who are out there suffering silently because there's a high chance that no body will even believe them if they came to say that they have been victims of gender based violence. This coupled with the "notion", especially in most African societies, that men are "stronger" than women, only makes matters worse. Personally, besides Refugee Law Project, I'm not aware of other organizations focusing on Sexual Violence Against Boys and Men. Most are and have been focusing on Sexual Violence Against Women and women Empowering, and as a result, the boy child has seriously been neglected over the years. It's time for us all to embrace a more wholistic and inclusive approach to handling gender related issues. I believe this webinar series will be an eye opener! Nathalie

thousands of people who have suffered sexual violence are still out there battling pain and discomfort without any help for fear of stigma and judgement. both women and men can be victims of sexual violence at anytime much as there is help for these categories of people, it is their responsibility as well to open up and seek help to avert their painful situations.

I'm wondering why other men can be treating women like that yet being raped is an accident, when coming to their case, women usually be patient and take care of their outside children .if not discrimination ,arrogance and inequality.

this is finally out the long waited \\\documentary and I bet that the world who didn't the actual things refugee face, would feels how terrified is to live with a child born out of rape and how the traumatic part of it is the worse. How it affects the family social communication and parental responsibility and most of times the mother of the child tend to love the CHILD since she is her bond that he/she is her blood too. As for men, when you didn't consent to adopt a child, it is very hard for them to accept a child which is born out of your will...…Stress some.
