They don't put LT4S in camaros!!! Only the SLP 97 SS has the LT4!!! It's an LT1 with LT4 parts!!!! And it's a 2 bolt main!! Only vettes get 4 bolt LT1 OR LT4s!!! PERIOD!!!

Those lt4 Camaros got a little more juice than your Vette in being tuned by SLP and also the motor is blueprinted

@Mr-ow3mk duh dude!!! Under rated at 330hp!!!! I must have been thinking about IDK actually because I know the LT4 is the vette engine and has a 4 bolt main! Just because it's in the camaro doesn't mean it's a 2 bolt! It is a 4 bolt in the camaro as well because it's actually the vette engine not a detuned version of the LT1!!! I have no clue why I said it's a 2 bolt!! I must have been super stoned!!!! Lol and a stock LT1 yes but mine isn't stock and I'm making more than 330hp as well. Oh after watching the video again I know why I said that!!! Because in that car it's NOT a LT4!!! In that cars it's a LT1 with LT4 parts!! And again that one IS A TWO BOLT MAIN!!! that car DOESN'T have a LT4!! that is a 2 bolt LT1 with aftermarket LT4 parts!!!! Not a SLP LT4!!! just a built up LT1!!!

Isnt fair? The lt1 and lt4 were outdated in this vs ls series and still beat it, obviously these cars weren't stock but stock to stock ls1 still isnt beating lt4 in identical vehicles

My 96 LT4 Corvette beats my buddies 97 LS1 Corvette. Both are 6 Speeds, both are stock. The LT4 was a more powerful engine, stock for stock, then early LS engines.

Always been a ford 4.6 fan n lover and owned a lot in various form and mods.. Got my 97 z28, minor bolt ons and I have to hand it to chevy on the speed..the thing is a monster and the simple bolt on mods actually helped a lot .. Ford was better though in every other way though but damn these lt1 5.7s haul Wasn't the lt4 only like 30hp more ????

Supposedly yes, dynos show it virtually identical to the LS1 though which GM downplayed so as not to upset C5 buyers.

Utah county Picazo's page totally fair. The LT4 is a great match for LS1 as long as the LS1 boltons are like a headers tune exhaust and not supercharger ya know. The LS1 is at the disadvantage so it needed a couple boltons to be close or win. So actually LS1 had the upper hand going in if the boltons were worthwhile. Then he blew the tires off and we’ll never know lol

MrFlawsy some longtubes headers off road y pipe and a good muffler like borla magnaflow or some SLP LM1’s and that should make a big difference

I had hooker shorty headers, 3 inch cat less single back to a spintech muffler and dual 2.5 out and Lt4 hot cam with 1.6 rockers. The idle is music to your ears and the cam adds a lot of power.

Yup...the 1996 LT4 Corvette had +350hp (as it was underrated)...and would scream. The LT4 SS Camaro likely had around 360-370hp bone stock.

Thanks and it's gonna be faster soon.. Go with a Nice cam and heads or just port your stock heads, throw some bolt ons In it and get a good tune. You'll be surprised what LT's can do

Donell Lewis lt4 had more go than ls1 lt4 advertised 330hp but really around 350-360 ls1 is advertised at 325 more like 340-350
