Hi Tara, you are so talented and creative, I am so enjoying your videos and your creative thoughts go along with mine. I love Stain markers and have a good collection.I do not trust myself to cut out the window and have it look good but I will replace the image. Thang you so much for sharing your creative knowlege.

Changing the image does wonders, especially if you are going to keep the book nook a book nook rather than converting to a roombox. I am glad you are enjoying the videos! Thanks for the kind words.

I love this! This has always been one of my favorite books! I read the whole series, but this one has always been my favorite. Ever since I was little I collected tiny little bits and pieces of things so that I can make new things out of them.😂 I hope everything goes well with your house! I’m sure it’s frustrating to feel like you’re kind of in limbo, but it would definitely be worth it when you get to spend time in your beautiful new studio!

I still collect bits so I can make new things out of them lol! Yesterday we filled all the holes in the walls and today I think we are caulking then it's just painting and flooring and we can get in! The finish line is in sight and I am wicked excited! 🤩

You are a true 'Borrower' Tara! This is a faithful creation in the spirit of the original books. I loved the books and still have my old Penguin paperback from the 1950s! My favourite drama version is the BBC production with Ian Holm as Pod. ❤️

I wonder on that table that you showed first, if you could use a metal bottle cap painted to look like wood as a top to get that raised edge
@TaraFinlay6 ай бұрын
You could, but it would be smaller, and you may need to do something to the inside of the cap to even it out.

Thank you for this video, it's great. I have only just found it today after going on a bead hunt in our local charity shops so that I can customise my book nook and for other crafts. I do have quite a good selection of beads and bits and bobs so have plenty to start with. I want to make some lamps and have found that the those battery operated fairy lights with the fine wires and lights size of a small grain of rice fit nicely inside some of the crystal beads. Some chain from an old necklace to thread the wire through (it will need to be cut then it will enable me to hang it from the ceiling), reattach wires and hopefully fingers crossed I will have a` hanging lamp, that lights up. My friendly electrician says I should have no problem providing I get the right wire attached to each other. Now I want candles in candle sticks, flowers in pots, a world globe, glass in the book cases, a crotched cushion and rug, a cat to snooze in front of the fire and..... 😅😂🤣 The problem is once one thing is changed the more I want to change other bits to make them more three dimensional. If you are looking for a way to turn the lights on and off easily some of those fairy lights come with a timer and or a remote control.

@TaraFinlay7 ай бұрын
One way is to screenshot the paintings you want to use, crop them on your phone, and then upload them to Google drive, put them into a document and print from your computer.
@TaraFinlay7 ай бұрын
You can do all this on the computer too without photoshop using the snipping tool on a PC and then putting them into a word doc or Google doc.
