Hi Chriso - I notice that you cross trowel when back buttering - can this leave air pockets beneath ? Some say its better to notch trowel the substrate and the back butter in the same direction to each other to avoid air pockets - comment ?

Not sure where you are from. In Australia you are not allow to trowel on the back of your tiles. We have to trowel the walls and floors

When you lifted the chipped tile off, it looked like all the ridges of glue hadn’t collapsed. Maybe back buttering with ridges is the problem, it doesn’t give ridges a chance to collapse

What kind of glue is it a mastic or the cement based stuff

Hey Chrisso u are a legend - u normally do 15mm trowel on 600x600 tiles with no back butter - so for 750x750mm u do 12mm trowel + 8mm back butter right ? Would it be a pain in the ass to lift up one tile just after laying it to see the glue coverage ?

Hey Chris'o, how do you finish your tile under the cornice when you tile all of the way up the wall to the cornice? You just cut it a grout thickness lower and fill with grout or finish it with a aluminum edge or something? Cheers mate

Hey chris Have you done a video yet on how to square up your sigma as sometimes they need to be done manually eg mark say 150 top and bottom of tile and adjust bar to suit. I have been caught out in the past using the sigma and the bar not being dead straight and cut can be a mm or 2 out 😊 Love your work

You can go back and get the mould out of the edges later.
