コーナーのヤマハっていっても限度があるわ。 ストレートで排気量差があるのかというほど差があるじゃない。大体YZR与えない時点でどうなのと。

Kocinski was on a SLOW Suzuki. Even the TZ-M Yamaha of Harada was faster than that Suzuki.

Sito Pons fue campeón del mundo porque disponía de la moto más rápida en las rectas, no porque él fuera el mejor. Esta ventaja en velocidad punta le permitió conseguir victorias y ser muy calculador durante los grandes premios. Por pilotaje, para mí eran más fogosos y rápidos tanto Joan Garriga como Carlos Cardús, que poseían más talento y arrojo para deleitarnos con su espectacular forma de manejar una 250 de gran premio, y que merecieron mucho más ser campeones del mundo. Tiriti Cardús consiguió, cuando pudo disponer de una NSR pata negra, lo que Sito nunca tuvo agallas de hacer: imponerse al estadounidense John Kocinsky en un duelo cara a cara, como sucedió en Nurburgring y Anderstorp en 1990. Ahí Cardús demostró ser mucho más veloz y agresivo que Pons, y Kocinsky tuvo que ceder ante el empuje del bravo piloto de Tiana. Sito jamás pudo imponerse a Kocinsky en un mano a mano. Por este motivo, el campeonísimo Ángel Nieto siempre prefirió a Joan y a Carlos que a Pons, el niño mimado de Honda HRC.

Sito Pons tendría la moto más rápida, pero tambien era inteligente. No digas falsedades de que no pudo con John Kocinski porque el yankee solo participó en dos carreras cuando Sito estaba en 250 cc. Cuando Kocinski entró a competir en 250 cc, Sito ya se había pasado a los 500 cc, y hablo de 1990, cuando compitió con Carlos Cardús en aquel campeonato. Por cierto, te recuerdo que la yamaha de Kocinski tambien era m¡uy rápida, y eso se vió en Austria en 1990. Kocinski no era invencible, así que con ese cuento a otra parte.

Como cita otro comentario, Kocinsky tuvo una presencia testimonial en 1989, y en 1990 Sito ya estaba en 500 cc. De acuerdo que no soportes a Sito, pero no vale mentir para ello.

This brings back a memory! I'm from London but I can remember while I was on holiday in Geneva this came on TV. Back then tennis on TV was basically just Wimbledon, Queens, the women's event in Eastbourne and a tournament at Wembley arena in November. So seeing this back in 86 was a little treat for a UK tennis fan lol!

@@user-th4dc3vs1x コメントする前に私は当時、熱狂的原田哲也ファンだった事を言っておきます。 アプリリアに移籍する事によってRSVを手に入れた原田はTZMやYZRの時の様に短いストレートでも勝負に為らない状態を脱したが予想した程のエンジンパワーではなかったとも秋のテストで語っている。 これは多分日本勢のマシンNSR.YZR.RGVΓがケースリードバルブのエンジンでエンジン特性的に使い易くアプリリアのRSVは高回転で効率が良いがエンジン特性的に扱い辛いロータリーディスクバルブだった事が大きいと思う。 これを含めて考えると、ビアッジは相当RSVを巧いアクセルコントロールで走らせていたと思う。 まぁ、原田がアプリリアに移籍した時にホンダに帰っていったから比べられないけど。 でも原田は、レースコントロールもコーナリングも勝ってた！原田哲也は僕のヒーロー！

Sito did not have to work for that one, it was very clear the horsepower difference between the bikes. I know that I am stating the obvious but Ruggia made up for the lack of Yamaha HP. Legendary.

Ruggia did not have to make up for stability. The chasis of the YAMAHA was so superior that he could lean effortlessly in the corners, making his rivals use their engines to follow him

I met John and his Dad at Hallet Raceway in Oklahoma not long before this pro career started. He rode a Honda 125gp , a TZ 250 and a Honda 550 interceptor. He swept all three classes , Then rode his 550 against open class bikes in some one off run whatever type race and finished 3rd in that race. He was 15 at the time , super fast little guy.

Yes. John took a Yamaha that was 18kph slower than the Honda and with Bud Askland tuning it beat them and won the 250 Championship. It’s such a shame that King Kenny forced him to move to 500’s the next year and didn’t devote another year in 250 for John to polish his skills and learn more about chassis setup. Watching him win in WSB and Flatrack after those years in MotoGP was great and his emotional speech at his induction into the Hall Of Fame was really something.
