Actually you can measure the length of any line in Illustrator and it very helpful in leather crafts. In the document panel, select object from the burger menu on the top right (check video 16:54), at the end of the first line that says paths you will find length and voila there you have it. Just do it before expanding the line. Doesn't matter if it's dashed or not. If you want to change the measuring units right click on the ruler and change it from there... cheers

Great video! I was wondering, how would you recommend finishing something like this if I use natural unfinished leather to make it?

Thanks for the video. I had a question about punching the holes for the stitches - when you punched the holes on the "Front pocket wallet Right-Top card slot" you punched from the inside outward, but then when you did the holes for the other parts you punched from the outside inward. Does it matter whether you punch from the outside inward or the inside outward? In what situations should I do one and what situations should I do the other?

Why have 2 separate pieces for the lid and back panel? Why not just cut it from one piece? Have the back panel rise high enough to flip over the front to be the lid as well. Seems a bit more time consuming to cut 2 pieces only to join them again with stitches, just cut it as one piece. 2 birds, 1 stone.

For a ladies wallet could you include where a strap closure and snaps would go please? My wallets get fat from cards, etc. Also to make it RFID, how would you do that?

How much does it effect the settings on your projects? I finally found the perfect setting for my project, but I applied masking which completely screwed up my process. I am having trouble finding a setting that works the way I need to for the finished product.

By the way, the magnets are exactly the same inside the iPhone as well. It is adhered around the wireless charger exactly how you see it on cases and other MagSafe products.

No they didn’t. Ordered the slim bifold and the material is great. I am confident to say this will last than the majority of wallet such as Bellroy or any slim and flimsy “modern” wallet. You will never see a SBL that tore apart in less than 10 years. Stop spreading misinformation.

I use a 3 ton arbor press. Added 12 inch longer rod to the press. 1” winco cutting board. I use a top plate for the dies. I can cut 16 ounce vegtan with no problem. The custom die companies are quite expensive. Etsy, Amazon and Temu sell dies at reasonable prices and work just fine. No need to break the bank for the hobby.
