Profound statement right there, when you blow money when you're young you still have a lot of time to recover and and learn from your mistakes unlike when you're older where there is no muuch reecovery time.

Loved this convo. I think both parties should take responsibility just because you an older man doesn't mean you know better. Maturity comes w/ experience not age.

Thank you Lebo for the informative video, the only thing I have struggled with is Networking and I will keep on trying on LinkedIn but everything else in your video I have done and I have made sure that the tips have been updated to 2024 job market, for a bit more context. I just wanted to share a bit of my own story of being unemployed as I think this will bring back a bit more humanity into the conversations when discussing the topic of unemployment. I have currently been unemployed for a 1 year and 2 months now. I have been volunteering since I was in grade 5 giving my time to my community and peers while maintaining 65%-79% throughout primary and high school as well as my first semester of university. Before Covid was volunteering at a private hospital for my First Aid hours while still in high school this was grade 10, I did it because I have always been determined to experience all of my interests even if I don’t make it into my career. I also have been playing the violin for about 7 years (started in grade 8) and I was in my school’s orchestra. I have computer literacy skills I gained as a computer centre monitor during my years in high school as well as organisational skills from doing media centre (library) duties since I as in grade 5. Not only that during my primary school years I was exactly the same over extending my time giving back to the community because I actually wanted to be a leader for change at a young age but never got any recognition from the school’s heads but I was okay with that because I always had high school to try again, spoiler nothing in high school as well and it really affected my confidence and mental health but I thought it paid off because in 2021 my last exam was music paper 2 the day after my exam I had a PART-TIME job as a cashier! I was so excited and then I had also started my learnership in March 2022 and i had to leave my part job in August 2022 I had one shot at trying to turn this learnership into full time employment it was going good until I had supervisor that did not want me in that position and I had tried on MULTIPLE occasions to resolve the issue (I didn’t even know what the issue was) and it really was not my performance ( I got shouted at and humiliated for, and I quote, “doing too much work”, but the week prior was reprimanded for working “not meeting the 217 target” which my team and I were told about the week after[the week I got humiliated for doing too much work], I just want you to know that in my team there were five of us and I was the only female as well as a gay man and we were consistently being picked on {by my FEMALE SUPERVISOR} and being the person I am I tried being the perfect employee and subordinate, which still didn’t get me the job hence why I’m unemployed today). Anyway back to the story, I was doing a males job with not machinery assistance all had was my legs to get the job done. My attitude at work was not a problem neither because I would show up at 06:20 and work that started at 07:30 and during that 50 minutes I would be studying for university and tests. I ended up asking to be moved to a different part of the company if possible and through a long battle finally got moved and then moved again and again, got offered two dry promotions for GHOST positions in both of places I got moved to in the company and my original contract had gotten extended for 1 MONTH due to my performance in all the positions I was put in. And I was doing all of this because I was told it was okay to do since I was an “intern” as the HR manager had put it. I had asked for a permanent position and I would work towards getting a qualification if necessary only for the role to have “no funding” and this was not even spoken directly to me it was through my new supervisor from the same HR manager. I went to check on their website the other day the company had received over a period of 5-6 years R80 million for technology and training learners such as myself… So since last year and even though I am unemployed I have tried to carry myself through university but my family has completely shunned me (I’m the only P.O.C) and the first person to get into university and my goal is to get employed before I turn 21 (in about 32 days) and I am going to try my hardest to get a permanent position and comeback on my birthday to share my success/ failure. There is a lot of information I had left out because have been typing for an hour is this comment is too long now. My takeaway from that experience: not to take things personally, constantly improve on my technical skills, and communication skills and it’s not my performance and personality that will get me a position. I just a number in the business, sometimes.❤️🩹 PS: I’m currently up at 03:00 am completing some course training and crying because I had to leave this comment to show even though a lot of people in South Africa see the youth as people that need to work on their skills or unemployable. I am one of thousands of voices that have been working on trying to be the best possible job seeker in this horrible job market but sometimes employers don’t want to hire us even if we do all the right things and it’s really so heartbreaking because I really wish more employers would give people like myself a chance to prove ourselves and I know that there is someone else working 4 times harder than me and to no avail 💔

Lebo as a business person, these tips are so accurate. Especially the email tip. Aiiii people are too lazy and don’t put effort, we end up not even replying to their mail. And yes I always check social media to see their integrity or what they are up to. I honestly get turned off if an account is private. My other tip would be deactivate your private settings, use your social media as your marketing platform so that we can see who you are and what you are capable of doing. A lot of people misunderstood Dj Zinhle and honestly speaking she was so right. I also struggled filling in positions in my clinic. I love what you are doing Lebo❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰

It's possible to trade 1 000 into a million over a period of time (you didn't define). Larry Williams made 11 000% interest in a year on a trading competition in 1987. Research on this. Your guest isn't good in trading and I doubt that he should be a mentor. These guys who claim to be pioneers of trading in SA are crazy and scammers. Forex began before they were born. They only pionnered the influencing and informal/unprofessional/scamming education of forex.

You're marketing a scam broker. Octa isn't regulated. Trading is easy, but it will be hard if you follow scamming mentors. Next time you should never bring mentors who teach trading. There's usually a conflict of interest.
