I also never went out there in the winter time, but once I went out there around the spillway the thick fog during or around Spring time (around Easter) it was gorgeous and spooky like as night time set in Sometimes you can notice the fog 🌁 around 312bridge and its a good guess if it's like that at the spillway I would say sunsets and sunrise 🌅🌄 could like nice with fog too

Did you have to get a special permit to shoot with your drone?

Amazing footage. Did they let you launch from their property. Taking a motorcycle trip in a few weeks and we will have our drone and would love to fly there since it is a planned stop.

Does anyone know exactly what that yellow stuff in the water is near the shoreline in many places? I assume it is some type of sediment, but from what? And is it always there or only during certain times?

I have just converted some late 1980's and 1992 & 93 home movies to video's of what it looked like prior to the dam breach. Hope to have it uploaded soon. It's still so majestic but very different. Fantastic drone work. I wish we would of had them back then.

This is a beautiful place. The big waterfall is so amazing. I live in Indiana. Every time my family goes to Albany KY we always stop at 76 falls. If you are ever down there you should go see it for yourself you won't believe it

Many years ago, I rolled an 18 wheeler and come to stop 14 paces from the beginning of the bridge. It was the first time I saw Jesus and he was taller than the mountain behind him. That experience changed my life. I have talked with family about making a trip to see the spot again before I die but now I don't have to travel. It is as beautiful of a place as I remember. There was more than one miracle. I was hauling a tanker and spilled over 7500 gallons of white glue and not a drop got in the river. The state trooper named Alex (1980 or so) and EPA checked and planned to fine me.

I tried to get permission to fly at Rock Island and they told me drones are NOT allowed. I think their rules are stupid. I'm a tax payer and should be allowed to fly anywhere. How did you get permission? Who did you call or talk to? I would like to fly my drone at a lot of them falls
