You need to get adjustable arms to take the toe out of the rear wheels. Theyre toed in and the front looks toed out. Its not going to drive well until the toe is set closer to zero. This is a rad video tho and you did a great job working with what you had!
@JerreThijn14 күн бұрын
Yeah, I noticed that aswell. Especially the front wheels have a lot of toe out. That is caused by the stock steering links since they weren't designed for this much ground clearence. I might need to look into some different links indeed. It is just that it is really hard to find parts for this particular car in my country. So I have to make work with parts that don't really fit the car nicely...
@turbocateyeS47514 күн бұрын
@@JerreThijn Right. Alot of drift cars have toe out in front and toed in in the rear, helps with grip, angle and transition. So it might actually work well on dirt and gravel? That sucks that the parts aren't available there, I guess we're lucky here but I bet shipping would be a nightmare. Really cool to take a road car and turn it into a rally car tho! For sure a good video and got me to subscribe!

Bro whats a budget rally car under 200 euros/dollars ?
@JerreThijn19 күн бұрын
Under 200 I am not really sure. This is my first rally car aswell. Tamiya makes some great looking 1/10 kits. I'm not sure about the driving tho. I believe MJX makes a 1/16 scale rally car that is supposed to be pretty good... If I were you I would search for some reviews on KZfaq and see if there is something you like... Good luck, hope you find something!🤞

I startet a similar Project to yours. The base that i startet with is the SNRC 160001 DT2 1/10 Rallye Chassis. The great thing with that chassi was that it was already behaving like a big rally car but it has a belt drive. So had to redo a couple of things on the drivetrain to drive on gravel. It was a lot fun. I think its time to start again. Thanks for the motivation and good Luck with your car

Hi! Do you know if i can put metal spur gear instead of stock plastic on slash 1:16? Because i have Velineon 550 and VXL-3m on my slash and plastic spur is not good suitable with Velineon 550
@JerreThijn26 күн бұрын
I don't know to be honest. I have never felt the need to change to a metal spur. If you can find one that has the right size, pitch and fits on the drive shaft, it should work...

Hey do you usually find marketplace deals? or are there other places to get deals? I don't mind tinkering with things and fixing it up thats why I got into the hobby anyway lol.
@JerreThijn5 ай бұрын
I don't find deals like these all that often. I am just keeping an eye on new advertisements and some times you can find great deals, but you have to be quick. Some people sell their cars while they don't have a clue what they sell. And sometimes they will sell really cheap. Usually these are sold before I even see them tho. You also can somtimes find damaged cars from people that don't have any knowledge about RCs or wrenching in general and they are afraight to take it appart and sell it cheap. Sometimes the damage can be really minor and just a couple minutes of work.

The box says it should do 50. I haven't actually tested it, but it certainly is very fast for its size. Kevin Talbot acutally made it go 58mph on 4s lipo without mods. Although the car officialy can't run on 4s

The Wild One was the first new RC I built as a teen, way back in the mid 80's. Yes the speed control is different, I think Tamiya had problems getting the parts to make their own so are using Hobbywing instead.

Ok Wow ! Where did you learn how to do that. .Where did you get an entire wall of Traxxas parts.. Why did you get an entire wall of Traxxas parts. I have the RPM front and rear bumpers. They are much more substantial than the thin tiny thing Traxxas calls a bumper. Also you cant use the RPM bumper with the wheelie bar. It kinda forces you to choose form over function and it keeps you honest when you punch it. Unless you like constantly having to flip your revo over on to its wheels..
@JerreThijn6 ай бұрын
It's not very hard. Just grab a screwdriver and go for it! Most of the parts on my wall I bought online. And most of them are parts that I know will fail on my cars or have failed before and I had to replace them. Very often you break only one part, but when you buy new ones, you get two in a package. These extra ones end up back on the wall aswell. Why on the wall? Its just convenient to be able to grab them while you're wrencing and not having to search in a big pile of parts. And just having the parts on hand saves a lot of time waiting for parts you ordered. I personally really enjoy the way the E-Revo handels, I don't want to make it more controllable with a wheelybar. For that kind of driving i've got other cars ;)
