Given the cockpit is inside the suit, it (and the suit) probably has something around it to absorb kinetic energy to prevent it from transferring into the pilot, especially given how much the suits get thrown around into buildings and stuff. Think about how much you see pilots shrugging off and then look at how much Char is struggling.

THIS. This is my ultimate goal in building gun-pla. Have enough cash and skill to recreate the scene of red comet just zooming through helpless battlefleet and laying waste. Have like LED lit plastics for propulsion blur and maybe even add some motor and sound effects. Mount it on a living/large room ceiling. With point LEDs in the background for star effects. Most likely HG models with some RG parts thrown in, if on budget or go with MG scale models if budget is not a concern, makes it easier on the eyes to see the details. I will probably never get around to it, but its nice to have aims and visions.

Edit: it would have to be fibre optic lighting for stars and relatively high ceiling for star effects to look somewhat convincing. Also can you imagine carving out MG scaled Federation battle cruisers by hand?!? Even using styrofoam that would be few hundreds of dollars. And probably need extra finishing touches on top. If you are using 3D printed custom models, bye bye wallet. One possible solution would be use a forced perspective trick, at least from an entrance/specific point of view. Use mirror tricks to multiply background effects. Half the battle fleet drawn on to the ceiling, some in MG scale but only bottom parts showing, some in HG scale suspended higher, etc. But yeah currently too much work and planning for most hobbyist level model builders. 😂😂😂 Approx. Quotation: 60-100K AUD if I want to do it properly, no BS. Got some special effects in mind. Partial home reno/man cave build. With carpenters, cabinet/wardrobe specialists, electrician/interior lighting specialists involved. It will be like a few months worth of projects. 😂😂😂 Basically 1/400 battle cruiser kits that are available are huge (60cm) MG kits are 1/100 scale. Times by 4, that's 2.4m. Enough to cover good portion of a wall. Therefore have one of battle cruisers being wall mounted sculpture with a hidden door and hidden container units. With Zaku attacking it around the top, out of the way with explosion effects. Incredibly convoluted and stupid but one can dream. 😂😂😂

We need a remake of the original Gundam 0079.. I'm so impressed with the mobile suits animation, new zeon uniforms and their epaullets. Gihren's shoulder scales looks the best in the prequal while in the original series, I hate his shoulder scales the most because they are too simple and not suit on his shoulders tho
