The black speckles throughout this film didn't bother me at all, apart from the kitchen section from 2:15, when they all turned in to flies! A great video, thanks.

The gentleman you see doing the narrating is none other than the late, great Milo Hamilton, former play-by-play on-air announcer for the Atlanta Braves baseball team. He did the same previously for the Chicago White Sox and when the Braves moved to Atlanta in 1966, he then became the Braves' announcer. He had a daughter who was a flight attendant for Delta.

Delta's "Widget" livery design (designed by Robert Bragg in 1961, introduced to the fleet in 1962 and lasted until 1997) was most beautifully demonstrated on its DC-10s & 747s....in fact, no other airline with those two aircraft types had a more nicer looking livery than Delta, in my opinion! Gorgeous.

Sadly Valujet was held responsible for mislabeled Cargo rather then a faulty aircraft or crew. But Pan Am collapses after flight 103 and TWA after flight 800

I'm a retired FA from Continental Airlines (1972-2002), and I always loved the old Delta Air Lines livery known as the "widget" livery as seen in this commercial. I thought it was one of the very best among the airlines. I miss those old days of flying (and boy has it changed -- I do feel sorry for you young people who will never know how nice and luxurious the service used to be up in the air!). Great commercial!

Das. Beste. Flugzeug. Ever.

Wow these airline tickets there are affordable yes the airlines are able to provide great prices due to aircraft not having excessive anti-pollution devices, or low soot fuel. That greatly increases your travel costs. That way you're able to buy nice clothes while traveling. In 60 years people will be wearing Rags because they can't afford nice clothes to be flying in aircraft that don't put out a pollution stream when taking off and Landing.

In the days when British aviation still exported its products, such as the great RR jet prop engines. Not until the exporting the Harrier Jump Jet decades later, with the US giants such as Boeing, MC Douglas with the help of the US government to destroy the British aircraft industry. Moving on to TSR2, and not least Cibc

As much as I adore trijet planes, I like to imagine that if McDonnell Douglas simply developed the MD-11 as a widebody twinjet, the company not only would still exist today, but might have helped avoid the aviation industry becoming a duopoly, with MD serving as a strong competitor to Boeing and Airbus. For one, the aircraft entered service in 1990, a full 4 years before the Airbus A330 and 5 years before Boeing’s 777. With such a head start, it would have taken a lot of business and orders from airlines like United, Emirates, Singapore and BA that desired a new generation of long haul aircraft where McDonnell was the only manufacturer with such an offering at the time. As well, as the first commercial aircraft with a glass cockpit and modern control systems, it would earn MD pedigree as a market leader in technological innovation and sophistication. Lastly, the DC-10 already had the size to serve as a high capacity widebody, but ditching the 3rd engine and putting the resources into a twinjet with more efficient engines would give it the range to serve new transatlantic and transpacific routes during the boom years of globalisation of air travel in the 90s.

The advertising company behind this ad clearly didn't understand how sound travels, let alone its speed. Or maybe they were simply bullsh*tting the flying public.

I was a flier of Eastern Airlines. The one fascination I had was the deployment of the "WhisperJet ". Eastern was the first airline that I flew on, and it was sad to see them shut down.
