If I go on a long road trip I need room for a clothes, you carry way to much stuff! I carry a sweater, pump and power pack 24/7 as you never know when you might need them, the only extra stuff for long distance is clothes...nothing else. I have sunpass for Florida but I do not carry it on my bike, no need, I just add my tag to my account and that works.... however, I will give a little hint, if you are riding on a toll road and go under a toll gantry, ride the white line separating the lanes and the camera will not pick up your bike keeping your toll costs down ;)

Hey Peter! Not related to this video, but did you end up ditching the BDCW Cylinder Guard after the Mid Atlantic trip? I'm considering getting one for my GSA and would be nice to hear your feedback. I saw that you didn't use their crash bar reinforcement. Did the Cylinder Guard ended up hitting the cylinder head? The gap between these two parts is really small and the OEM crash bars have a tendency do bend towards the cylinder head after a tip over, right?
@GhostRider-693 ай бұрын
The Black Dog Cylinder guards that I used for my recent BDR trip were excellent. I drop my bike 3 times on this trip and the cylinder guards were dented but there were no damage to my cylinder heads. Black dog cylinder guards were a great investment for me. I would recommend them to anyone riding a GS and off roading.

Always best to remove all historic connections from all the bluetooth devices before you start and then ensure all software is up to date. People have had nightmares connected all this stuff together, myself included.You can also connect the tft of the bmw at the same time, enabling you to use the whizz wheel on the handle bars to make and receive phone calls and to listen/select music thereby not having to touch the zumo screen or take hands off of the bars.. How do I know? spent loads of time in my garage playing with the set up. Whizz wheel won't do the volume though, sadly. Ride safe👍

I find dct faster than the non dct in sport. I’ve had both. The bike can shift faster than I can and I see In this video the rider is letting the throttle go between gears. You don’t have to do that in dct. Dct is like having a quick shifter/blipper. I’ve seen 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds online. I mean i know it’s not meant to be ridden like this generally but it’s good fun. Good video thanks 👍🏻
@GhostRider-695 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. Yes, The DTC is definitely a quicker bike. However, I am still stuck on the clutch method. Either way, the Goldwing is a top-class bike. So much fun to ride.

My friend likes the fact you can buy a standard lever system 0:01 for the left foot to change gears on the dct model by setting it into manual mode. So instead of fully auto or using the buttons If you pay extra for the kit from Honda you can use your left foot like normal 🤘🏻

I would go with GSA for sure…..it’s a great touring machine and super easy to ride with low center of gravity in the Boxer engine. People love the Boxer engine. Also a big part of my decision is due to the larger gas tank on the GSA. I own an RT currently and my friend had a new Goldwing and he stops constantly for gas on long trips. Honda screwed up royally on how they made the bike more streamline and that meant a smaller gas tank. Also the side cases on the Goldwing are tiny. The GSA does it all. I’ve owned two Goldwing’s, Harley Ultra classic, Springer, Deuce……Yamaha FJR, Triumph Sprint, two Honda Interceptors and three BMW RT’s. Once I rode the BMW I said I would never ride anything else. Honda screwed up the Goldwing and the old one was much better.
