Do you know what the green long arrows mean in step mania? They look like the blue ones where you're supposed to hold your foot down, but when I hold my foot down on the green arrows it says "bad". Thanks!!!
@TheCreepyDАй бұрын
I have introduced kids to step mania, they love it. What we're seeing in these videos is a bit of a joke though, with the whole barely moving your feet, holding onto the back bar thing.. That's not 'dancing' which was the point of the game. Balancing yourself while playing is one of the skills required to master the game, why completely remove that by using the bar? It's like playing easy mode. High level competition should be proper hard mode, no bar and full feet on panels!

I just realized I might be the weirdest DDR player out there. I don't look anything like these people lol... I don't use the bar, I only use my toes / ball of my foot and not my heels, I brute force my way through crossovers with one foot, and I'm taking MASSIVE steps and jumping my entire body around infinitely more in comparison to these guys. It clearly gives me a lower ceiling, but I'd guess I'm burning literally 5x the calories so I'm OK with it.

DDR should make a comeback for home console, PC, Mac, and Linux with the game for 40 dollars with dance pad sold separately, and 50 songs including a dozen S3RL songs. Dancing to Feel the Melody by S3RL on DDR sounds like a lot of fun. Also, extra songs are cheap, transparent, and direct microtransactions that are perpetual and do not expire. At least 80 percent of the money you spend on those extra songs goes to support the record labels and artists. About 1 dollar and 50 cents per song or 5 to 15 dollars for song packs depending on the number of songs it comes with.

Man I really wish I could experience modern DDR to be honest. My town is really lacking when it comes to DDR machines. as far as I am aware in my town there are only a couple of DDR extreme and DDR supernova 1 machines and none of them work properly. The only way to stay somewhat up to date is through stepmania on my pc but I have yet to find an adapter that works for my wii dance pad.

WOW. I lost track of DDR and Stepmania back in like 2009. It is now 2023 and just randomly thought, "I wonder what happened to DDR? Does it still exist?" and sure enough it is still around. But what is mind blowing to me is that people use the handlebars now. They didn't back then hehehe
