See the thing is here, in La Linea, anyway, we have so much shifting humidity. You could install wood, but in all the houses I’ve been in, it’s all bricks, plaster, and steel beams. We use wood for trim around doors and doors and some furniture, but it seems it doesn’t last as long as bricks and cement. In this case with my house, it’s come to my attention over the years, that these are steel beams here, that have oxidized over time, and created the cracks. The people who buy, these (maybe 60 equally built houses), I’ve seen them chisel out the beams and install new ones. The houses are pretty solid (the one I bought, but I guess the steel will oxidize).

@@JavedAli-uk4nv you have to check the Gibraltar website to make sure that you don’t need a visa. I think that as an EU resident you will be able to enter. You can go to the border and try to cross, the police will scan your documents and tell you yes or know.

Actually, on second thoughts, Swifts and swallows need altitude to take their first flight. They can't take off from the ground. If hes still there, best thing would probs be to take him is where Line Wall Road meets Commonwealth Park, put him on the wall, and he should just take off naturally. And if he does go splat, the grass will save him from injury. Let me know what happens. Im invested. Haha

I put him up in a hanging pot up that we have, it was our highest point. I only go in on Tuesdays, and haven’t heard anything, so I’m assuming he was able to fly.

Hi, the entrance fee to the upper rock is £19 per person. Also, if you plan to drive up to that location there are a couple parking spots but it’s limited. I am a member of the Gibraltar Heritage Trust. For a family membership for a year it is £25 and that gives you access to the Med Steps, the upper rock park, the caves, the museum, lots of other exhibits etc. anyone can become a member with them by going on to their website. You need to do that and secure your membership card at least a week before travel, it takes them a week or two to process the card and print it, and you can opt to have it mailed to you, or pick it up in Store.
