One of the most epic ff theme.

Its been 24 years since I played this game. Back then couldn't play when it 1st came out as I couldn't afford to own a PS1 after I bought it though I still couldn't afford the game itself so I borrowed it from a friend. If I recall it had like 3 CDs you had to swap out after reaching certain points. Such good times. Now fast forward till today and I am once again in the same position I was 24 years ago lol. I can't afford the FF7 remake despite having a job due to the pricing and the fact I have mortgages to cover. As such I have to have a friend share his steam library with me so I can play it. The irony of it all. lol

I love this theme because it sounds like every instrument is fighting, each getting a little crescendo moment of triumph before being knocked down by another.

Why this battle theme works is still such a mystery to me. It doesn't really have any meaningful chord progression, and it doesn't even have a real melody or anything. It doesn't really have anything that you would hum along to or anything like that. But I still could listen to this 100 times in a row without getting bored of it.
