How do you find it comfort wise? I'm maybe an inch and a half taller and the only negative thing I hear is the lower handlebars? I would like to take it on longer trips so that's the only thing that worries me.
@yamahapilot
@yamahapilot 4 күн бұрын
@@Coolio157 depends on how long your trip is, but I wouldn’t really want to take the bike on long trips. But that’s just me personally. My rides are less than 30 minutes. Usually only about 20 minutes. I mainly use it to commute as opposed to going on pleasure rides.

How are you liking it so far? I ordered the Urbane Pro Mk3, then saw this one was AAA rated so I ordered it as well. Still waiting on both to arrive but i hope this one is as breathable as the MK3 or at least very close because i like it alot!
@yamahapilot
@yamahapilot 3 ай бұрын
I love it. It definitely feels AAA rated with a nice weight to it and robust zippers. I rode with it all winter, including one snowstorm, with a windbreaker and it was great. Not sure about its breathability compared to the Urbane Pro Mk3 you mentioned, but it's a serious jacket with some heft to it. I also love the way it looks. Very classy and doesn't scream that you're wearing a motorcycle jacket.

I was just recently looking at buying another pair and it appears they redesigned them a bit and now call them KEB TROUSERS M. Mine are currenty at the tailor getting fixed. Need the front zipper and side pocket zipper replaced, as well as the fly button stitched back on. I've been very hard on these pants and wear them almost every day. Gym, hiking, riding my motorcycle and just going out and about. I have the all-black colourway so I even wear them even to restaurants etc. I live in them and they've been quite durable - I throw them in the washer/dryer three to four times a week and they've held up well. I'd like to buy more but I'm not a fan of the colours other than black. hope that helps.

@@yamahapilot Thanks for the reply. The closest to these in the Keb lineup currently are "Keb Agile Winter Trousers", they have thickest stretch material between Keb Agile, Keb Trousers, Keb Agile Winter Trousers. Unfortunately, the Keb Touring trousers were even thicker, and the only "touring" trousers now are in the Bergtagen line, but I haven't been able to try them in person. The "Keb Trouser" they sell currently is more of an in between, and while I've worn them in the winter, they aren't specifically designed for it. Too much G1000 material on them for my taste.

I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure I used the bar ends that came in the Fenrir box - Iif you look at the before/after you can see the difference in thickness of the bar ends. I didn't bother reading the instructions as it's pretty straight forward.

interesting that you said you’ve a bunch of motorcycles and a lot of experience before getting the 401. i am the same way, if it get a vit401, it’ll be my 8th or 9th moto, but the lightest ever. would you pls clarify one thing for me… inner tubes or tubeless tires?
@yamahapilot
@yamahapilot 7 ай бұрын
As far as tubed vs tubeless, it actually took me a while to get used to tubed tires. The sidewalls are notably softer when compared to tubeless tires. So when you go over curbs entering a parking lot, or hit a pothole they flex much more than tubeless tyres. Almost feels like you’re going to bang your rim. That being said, I had a flat (from a nail) a few months ago and it was cheap to fix as I only had to get the tube replaced at not the tire itself. I definitely see the advantage of spoked wheels and tubed tyres for going off the beaten path as you might get air leaks from a damaged rim, but for asphalt I’d prefer tubeless. That being said, the spokes look awesome on this setup. Also, the bike's lightweight design and the slim 150 rear allows the bike to tip over very easily when leaning, which took some getting used to. The advantage though of the narrower tires is that the bike is very flickable and easy to manoeuvre, especially when going slow. I’m used to them now and like them. Anyhow, hope that helps man.

I believe the 23's are identical to the 22's. Even though they were specified for the earlier model, the newly installed Pazzo levers fit perfectly. Looks like the 2024 model is redesigned, though.

Also got a colour matched Zeiger engine guard for my 2018 (flouro yellow) The aggressive position got to me over time os - don't think the tyre profile on the vit will let you get rid of strips. dont' push too hard

@@keevinGood to hear it helped. I was actually considering a Smart, but when I saw them both in person I felt more comfortable on the Vit. Probably bc I have a sport bike background and prefer the lower clip-ons as opposed to upright handlebars. Also, I doubt I will ever go off-road which is better suited for the Svart. I only ride on pavement and prefer the better traction of the sport tyres.

@yamahapilot Жыл бұрын
The clutch lever has been loose since I bought it. It’s also stalled about four times shortly after beginning my ride, but I’m not sure if that’s bc it’s a single cylinder. I have noticed that if I keep the tank from going near empty, it’s doesn’t stall, tho I’m not sure if that’s related. And finding neutral when you come to a stop can sometimes be difficult. Other than that I’ve been riding it everyday for 3.5 months and it’s been reliable.

I did contemplate the SP-1 V2 that you have, as I much prefer the look of them compared to mine, but went with the Sidi Performers since I owned a pair of Sidi race boots before and really like the quality. I’ve never owned Alpinestar gear so can’t really give a fair comparison. I also wanted the extra side protection of the metatarsal and toe sliders. I’ll consider doing a review of these, but so far I really like them.

@@yamahapilot hey there my initial review of the SP -1 is that they are cool however the strap across the foot is essentially for show and it's a slip on boot, not as secure as laces. A tighter boot is required in my opinion when laces are not present. I went a size down. More to come
