Stop pretending. The English took over your country and that is who you are now. Beautiful songs doesn't change anything..i know more Scottish songs than most Scots and I'm irish. We know what it is to be ourselves.

Scottish people want it both ways.proud Scottish and proud British. Okay but is there a difference?in Ireland there is a massive difference. Identity is a gut,visceral thing.no offence but the Scots lost that.

Interestingly she leaves out the lines "Broken faimlies in lands we’ve herriet, Will curse Scotland the Brave nae mair, nae mair;" Replacing them with a repeat of the last two lines of the previous stanza. Would be interested if there's a story behind this?

Lorraine sings this Track well .Although i have never listened and played any .Of her Albums i e with her husband Ricky Ross . Their Band Deacon Blue .Lorraine is a high quality vocalist .The original artist .A prominent Scottish Poet by a gentleman of the name of Hamish Henderson . This is a proper Scottish folk song.That's why I am proud of the name of HENDERSON
