Been with Usps for over 18years and it pays the bills. Just go to work and avoid all the BS and you will be fine. Where else can you find a job making six figure without a degree? Usps has given me a house and send my kids through college

I made it out without a scratch. No I went home after. I sure wanted to finish the route though. Always call the police and then your supervisor on duty ASAP.

What the post office needs to change is the starting pay for the CCAs. The turnover rate is ridiculous, sure for many reasons, but if the starting pay was better I would think many would not leave like they have been.

What about accountability on mail and not putting it all on drivers but the entire system order some debit cards for a new account 3 different times over 3 months span never showed up the 4 time had to mail them to the bank location for them to make it there

@@superbbeatmaker they do have LLVs. I spoke to someone over the phone that works there and she was asking if I had a personal vehicle I could use. When I asked how often I would need to use it she said it would depend on if they had vehicles available. Every once in awhile is ok but I hope it doesn't happen too often. I've got 196,000 miles on that thing lol

I think it depends on what your trying to do inside the organization. Being a grunt brand new mail handler or clerk is really really tough low pay long hours. Maintenance or management seems to pay decently but I would steer clear of being a manager in this organization.

I’m so glad I found a positive postal service video. I’m starting orientation on June 24. I have ran across so many negative video. Everyone experience is different. I will give it a try hopefully I will like it. Thanks for your positive vibe!

Do they do a credit check? Only reason I ask is because someone tried to use my information so I had to put a freeze and fraud alert. So I had to remove the freeze cuz I was told that they do a credit check but someone else said that they don’t.

I am a 22 year rural letter carrier and I’m telling you do not even remotely consider this shit hole job as a future for you….. I wish I knew back then what I know now I would never joined this rat hole …… Pay cuts after pay cuts 11 hour days getting paid for eight so many packages that are way, overweight and oversized and all the people in charge of the Post Office. will lie to your face about every single thing…… do not consider it….. they’re talking about pulling our insurance and not letting new hires that become regular into the pension program. There’s not a single thing that’s worth the effort to put up with the degrading bullshit that goes on in this organization and Louis DeJoy the leader he’s an absolute inept ass clown…… Don’t get me started about my union. They’re worthless as a bucket of piss in your boots…… instead of fighting for us, they rather give hand jobs to management, then doing anything that’s decent and fair

Hey, long time no content from you. I have learned rural carrier take 4+nyears to be PTF and only time you can get overtime is when they helping out weather its in the post office or other mail carriers.

Joined in March this year as an RCA. Just passed the 60 day non-career benefits enrollment deadline. I agree with what you said about management. Most of the Supervisors at my station are nice enough, some do not have the temperament to lead as I had to tell one of them; politely, to back off on the calls, since he was calling me every 5 minutes after 4pm. I told him that I'm going as safely and accurately as I can given my limited experience on this job, interrupting me every 5 minutes is already having a detrimental effect on my concentration and will delay the task farther. Please send assistance if you need me back by 5 pm. Already got the talk about speed from management, reminding me that I am still under my 90 days, and I might consider a different craft other than mail handling. To be fair; they have a point. I still cannot complete my regular route by evaluation time, and I am still not finishing consistently to get back before 6 pm. The earliest I've been back on my own with no help was 4pm on a light Tuesday. Doesn't help that my Regular kind of sucks at training, and I got more info from other RCAs. As far as I know I am one of two left from a group of 10 that signed up from my batch at the academy. A newer guy from the academy after mine already quit. Looking forward to what you have to teach sensei.

Congratulations,any tips for training newbies, regular here 23 years in , I always encourage them to hang in there don’t quit it does get easier but it’s a lot to learn and they get overwhelmed or they get thrown on a route they never done. Guys hang in there it’s a great job with good benefits ❤

I just look at your video and want to say thank you and congratulations. I applied for CCA career which I found out it PTF and the lady told me that it not guaranteed 40 hours I was about to turn it down but i need the job so I’m waiting to find out when my orientation to be honest I wasn’t going to accept it but watching your video if you can do I can do and I have faith and believe I can do it. Please say a prayer for me that i pass the academy 😊
