i wonder how you make the text stay on the whole video, over say, 10 clips?

I have 4 different cameras. I took 4K videos on them but Stotcut is very slow and laggy. So by selecting Video Mode at 1080 24fps will help or what else can I do? Thank you

Like other shotcut tutorials you have not shown how the text is SAVED in the timeline. At no time in your first 8 minutes did I see your prepared text (in the preview screen) applied to the timeline. After all, it's the timeline that ultimately becomes the video; the preview panel is only for editing. Yes, I can get my text into that unwanted box in the preview panel. What I cannot do, and what you have failed to explain is >>> how do you get text to appear in the final edited video, not just the preview panel. I get really tired of YT tutorials that purport to explain HOW to do something, when really all the video does is give a sales presentation on all the nifty bells and whistles that tech geeks like to invent, to make their product even more convoluted and difficult.

Easily the most glitchy 2023 app! You can do the same above steps 3x in a row and will get three different results when adding text. Sometimes when trying different fonts it literally blanks out and you have to RESET and start again, try a 30 second increase in the video to put text and see what happens. Good luck everyone cause you will need it!
