Just ordered mine yesterday. If I had seen your video I may have rethought the purchase. However your video also encouraged me, I've seen repeatedly that they have great customer service. That's what the warranty is for, happy to see them honor it and replace the cover. Hopefully they are learning and redesigning as these issues come in. Good review. Thanks

Does the warranty start over for another 5 years now that you got the replacement?

Had the exact same issue at the exact same as everyone else. 2 years and the marine grade vinyl is separating in the exact same spot as in the video. BUT as all the rest who already filled, Bak in fact did stand behind it's warranty and sent out a new one. Can't imagine this is good for business, I hope they can actually solve the problem instead. Anyone know if the fold out model has any issues?

Anybody know why my 3500 is chiming 5 times

Just hit the 2 year mark on my X4s and I have nearly identical failure points on mine. The same spots are peeling and lifting, and I have also have a couple of small tears in the top. Even with maintaining it by their instruction, the FL sun has just cooked it in the 2 years of ownership. Bak is sending me a replacement top. I love the design, but I agree. Once the warranty expires I’ll likely look at a different option when it’s time to replace. I’m just glad Bak stands behind their product line and offer a hassle free warranty experience.

I just got mine. Only mine came with only rails and the cover, and misc. broken plastic pieces inside. RealTruck is sending a new one, but this is the second cover I ordered from them and the second time it didn't come with all mounting hardware.

Looks like the front of the cover has the side rail seals too long and they don’t touch the bulkhead. Did these flatten out or curl up in the long run?

I’ve got the 4x on my truck. It hasn’t set right in the tracks since I’ve owned it. However, it did come with the truck when I bought it. Bummer the one you got didn’t last that long. I like the idea on how it works and fits level with the bed of the truck. I hope the replacement is better.

The core issue with BAK covers is always been the glue quality no matter the type of product they have. You would of think that by now they would of had at least ONE truck tonneau cover letting it cook in Florida sun for quality control and learn from it. But I guess for this company is much cheaper to have bad reputation and replace the whole cover for customers than do a simple glue test for reliability. My BAK 2 that comes in 3 pieces aluminum cover got unglued on edges where the seals are located in South FL environment. So yeah, they went cheap on glue, hence these bad reports.
