I was looking for a review on the balance 005 album mixed by Holden and the only thing I found was this different video but I loved discovering your channel! When I discovered James I was a minor and I was struck by his music, which I enjoyed listening to its release year its remix to Nathan Fake! Back then in 2005 or 2006 I don't remember well JH appeared at a club in my city Guadalajara and I remember he played a remix of a Britney Spears song it was incredible everyone went crazy

Hi Marc! Thanks for the great picks! You should definitely check DP-6 - Summer Time, the track is a heavy bouncy dub techno/tech house bomb which I first heard on Hernan Cattaneo's Sequential Vol. 2 mixed compilation.

I will! After I recorded this episode, I realized that coincidentally 2 weeks ago I bought DP-6 Midsummer/Afterlife 12" from 2004. Its a great prog record. It didn't occur that it could possibly be the same artist...I just figured no way are they still producing 20 years later, but they are and still doing great :). Looks like Summer Time is a different track that came out later right?

I am pretty sure you a right on the money with the digital pitch resolution,(and this applies to all models from M5G) The pitch resolution is simply not fine enough. When I had M3D's with the analog (infinte resolution) pitch had no issues mixing and locking in for long blends unfortunately sold them a long time ago, got hold of some MK7's with the new digital pitch and found exactly what you have described, I could never get 2 tracks 100% locked UNLESS they were the same BPM to begin with. Out of interest I measured the amount of BPM change on the MK7 using Traktor DVS which is easy to see the amount it changes with Stable Pitch / BPM turned on. Once I had the BPM change measured I worked out the samllest possible pitch increments on the 1210MK7 were 0.05% per movement (and there was a bit of dead space between each movement when it had no affect on the speed ie moving the pitch did nothing). If they had made it the same as Pioneer CDJ's @ 0.02% noone would be complaining as its far more accurate, If they had made it like the Denon SC6000 even better as the pitch resolution on those gets to 0.01% on +-4% MK7's are still fun to mix on but they are more hands on, as for some tracks you can never ever get them to a perfect match due to the 0.05% resolution..... problem would be sorted if Technics had some sort of update to make the resolution 0.02% instead.
