How to know what replacement part to buy ?

You can look it up based on the brand of toilet you have. There may be a marking or stamp on the inside of the toilet bowl indicating a model. There are also universal parts that fit multiples of toilet types. Consult the documentation of the universals for fitment to yours.

Only issue is some instructions say to put bolt, rubber washer, then rubber washer, metal washer, nut under tank then finally metal washer, nut. Gives extra protection for water leaks from tank. wish my kit came with extra rubber washers for extra protection.

This video was very helpful. I tried doing this years ago and it took forever. I couldn't get the tank level. After watching this, I think I can handle it next time. The son/cameraman was a great touch. 🙂

Eventually, we ended up getting a new one. Problem was that the battery tested good until finally, it didn’t. Plus, with young kids, we often found doors ajar and lights on in the van so at first, causation was hard to determine.

The original hexnut is completely different from the one that comes with the replacement. The toilet gasket is supposed to fit over the hexnut and the tank is then lowered into the toilet. The gasket is NOT to be placed onto the toilet and the tank lowered onto it. It is impossible to fit the gasket over the new hexnut since the new hexnut is not circular like the original. You MUST use the original hexnut and fit the new gasket over it. Otherwise, when the toilet is flushed, you'll get water coming out from under the tank. As you may have noticed, Kris reused the original hexnut without explanation.

Kris, thanks a bunch for making this video and it was very helpful. My fill valve was loud and figured my 10 year old toilet needed to be rejuvenated. I received a rebuild kit from Mansfield but no instructions just the parts. The replacement was on spot with your video and got no leaks when finished🚽

The jumpstart button blinks but then shuts off. Ideas? Is the battery ok but something else bad?

The troubleshooting docs states: The HALO BOLT is not sufﬁciently charged to jumpstart the vehicle. -or- The HALO BOLT detects that it is connected to a vehicle battery that does not require a jump start. This could indicate that the vehicle battery or othercomponent is faulty. I haven’t personally experienced the described behavior to otherwise give a better idea.

@@theXchange my flush valve is sticking it snapped the flush lever it’s very hard to flush. Will attempt this project tomorrow to replace flush and fill valve along with necessary hardware

Thank you for making this video and taking us step-by-step through the process. My drain instantly clogged when an open bag of loose leaf tea fell into the sink and I thought it could easily be flushed down the disposal. The hex key method and plunger method didn’t unclog my drain, so I was thinking that I was going to have to call a plumber. But then I came across your video! After following your steps, I had my drain unclogged in less than a half hour, start to finish. All the credit goes to you!! I can’t imagine how much money I saved from calling a plumber when this was such a simple process. Thank you again, and keep up the great work!

Found your video which helped me figure out how to fix my same problem. I bought the part from amzn. The part arrived in a couple of days and before I could swap it we ran the dishwasher again which didn't whistle. I ran it a couple more times with no whistle before putting the part up and will replace if it ever whistles again. My guess is that while investigating I moved the flexible metal clad hose under the washer several times which may have cleared some blockage (just a guess at this point). Appreciate your video greatly though.

Great overview, thanks! Two questions. 1. When you logout from the Meross App can you still control the doors from Homekit locally? 2. When internet is not available (no cell data either), can you still control the doors Meross App or Home? I believe you can still control the doors by Siri without a HomeKit hub when you add these as a shortcut. The name you give to the shortcut Siri would recognize it. That is how it works for my Kasa smart plugs KP125M.

@@theXchange I got my MSG200HK yesterday and happy to report it actually works without Internet access (WLAN) from HomeKit and the Meross App. I don't have a HomeKit hub either. It is just my WiFi Router and an iPhone 13 Pro. The only strange issue is that the Meross Widgets didn't work in this scenario, but it work from the Meross App. I can also confirm the Homekit works when logged out of the Meross App.

I put my phone into airplane mode when I tested whether Internet is required. No internet = no garage control. How did you run your test? I still can’t get HomeKit to work unless I’m on my WiFi

@@theXchange You have to have the WiFi On in your phone, but unplug temporarily your Internet Service Provider. The wifi router has to be On as well. This is to test if a device needs to be connected to the WLAN in order to function. Fortunately these would work when the internet goes down, like in a major storm, for instance. As long as your LAN works these controllers would work.

This is the biggest piece of garbage I've ever owned. worked great until the latest iOS update then it no longer reliably functioned. Manufacture offers no support for the homekit version

It's been pretty solid for me so far. Regarding Homekit, I too, am a little disappointed as it doesn't seem to update in real time to inform the user when the garage has completed opening or closing, without force closing and reopening Home. Also, the Meross documentation incorrectly states that an iPad can be used as a Homekit Hub, which is no longer supported by Apple's latest version of Homekit (see details toward the end of the video).

What if somebody really does not eat much (me), half of a carrot is my breakfast no joke... For lunch I eat the same and for dinner I eat a mushroom with some vitamin supply. No sugar at all, I only drink water now for 2 years. My doctor gave me saxenda as well tho I know eat much less. Sometimes I eat breakfast (half one single carrot) in dinner time etc... And I am still unable to lose weight, unfortunetly not even with saxenda :( My blood tests are showing that I mostly miss several stuff I need, but thankfully because of the vitamin supplies I take it is getting solved. And I weight 120 kg right now, which is stable as hell. Once I was incredibly curious and I ate a pizza the whole day as it is a much higher calorie intake than what I usually take and I did not gain weight and nor lose. Doctor says that my endocrym system is pretty much f**ked up as literal hell. Should I further take saxenda? Will it ever help me? If no, anny suggestions? (Eating more is not an option, I don't have enough money to eat enough, so please don't suggest me this)

I’m honestly not quite sure how to answer this. I’m not a medical professional or dietitian. It seems to me you don’t have enough calorie intake that your body depends on fat to get what it needs to make it through each day. Where do you live such that you’re unable to increase your food intake? Are there any food pantry near that can assist?

I'm getting ready to watch with my fingers crossed this video solves my issues. I have a Mansfield #106 toilet and am replacing both the flush and fill valves. However, I did not buy the kit. Instead bought the 2 units separately. I've removed both units and all is going well.....until I go to put the new units into the tank. Foe the life of me I can not figure out the height for the new fill and flush valves. To make it even worse, the inside of the tank was gross so I cleaned it without marking a water line. It's sat torn apart in my bathroom for three days now 😅😢
