I know this is an old video, but the correct name is Haudenosaunee or Ongweoweh. Iroquois is a degrading name given to us by the french

I wonder, if one doesn't have or want to buy resin, would a few layers of clear nail polish work? And could you tell us where the little hand drill was bought from? Thank you.

It's a spin off from the brick stitch. Looks like it works great. But, I'll still with the regular peyote since I spent a lot of time learning it and mastering it. Juts my preference. No big deal.

I really like this channel, your voice and personality, @tsummerlee. I'm sad to know you haven't posted anything since 7 years ago. You remind me of my maternal grandmother, Vivian, and her daughters, my aunts. I send you my love and my thanks for brightening my day with this video

I’m sure you’ve had a lot of comments as to how to marbleize resin… resin+ acrylic is TEMPERMENTAL& rarely works- never cures right twice- so don’t feel badly!! The thing about acrylic is It’s plastic& the resin heats it without giving it air to dry as it cures-it has to release the liquid(water) elements of the acrylic paints more often than not… to get a perfect, 3D, layered marbling effect EVERY TIME- what you need to do is use colorants with various densities… as in uses mica powder for one thing, a nail polish color for another& a glittered alcohol dye mixture for another… I like using either a REALLY fine gold or white shimmer. Also using a PEARL WHITE mica powder in your base will ALWAYS yield results that emulate a bowling ball type marbling& is extremely 3D! It’s an easy cheat. You’ll notice on some alcohol dyes they will have heavy white/deeper white- vs. just white… that is identifying that the first white will fall to the front of your piece, and stand alone as a color more than the other, which tends to act more like a color highlighter in the background than adding white elements to your piece.

Rocks can be all kinds of crazy colors naturally but agates are generally more earthen/warm colors. Those are dyed. I have some whole “gobi” agates I ordered from China. I didn’t pay much for them so I’m not worried too much but I cannot for the life of me figure out if they are dyed. One has black and white banding which isn’t too suspicious, another is a vibrant orange which is slightly unusual but not out of the realm of possibility, but the last one is a bright grass green color that makes me suspect they are dyed. They are beautiful nonetheless but I wish the seller would disclose this
