I LOVE the sudden, ever so mild doubt about the okay-ness of online venting 7 minutes into a wholehearted only vent. side-note: just stick around, the younger generations is imo very hope inspiring, once good/honest zoomers get into power things will change for the better (imo). the societal environment that zoomers grew up in was the perfect boiling pot for producing a cohort that isn't afraid to call things how they are (imo).

the whole personalities being so simple is suuch a widespread dogma! the idea that if you have a teenager youve got to keep them on a tight leash as if its fated that they rebel and act out in some ways against their parents is too real, but especially so with minority families. not to say we dont face inhuman expectations in general but i recently learned more about how not so unique my (neglectful + abusive in a dispersion of ways) home life was and unpacking what could've possibly been going through my parents heads before i had to take my life into my own hands. but things havent been easier! ive learned to cope with therapy, but it really is just that. therapy without education is kind of not fixing the world all on its own (*to clarify that point* its cause there was genuinely a lot i knew about myself to be true that at the same time ive internalized a hatred for and the world built around me justifies that. deconstructing where that comes from reveals the roots of certain issues and though it takes more effort and learning i left therapy to find my truth since the world won't put me first and foremost, and we gotta be the representation be wanna see out there fr). and unfortunately education comes at a premium and theres pipelines abound but theres little hidden gems on yt that i feel like are along the right side of history and also funny, i recommend this channel cause its a great jumping off point for going down rabbit holes imho www.youtube.com/@user_0731
