Fantastic video! I can't understand how anyone could possibly go somewhere and attempt to impose their version of reality. Adopt, accept and understand the environment you are in. It's great to see you calling out these people because they are far too commonplace. It doesn't matter what country it is in, you can be taken advantage of ANYWHERE. Your group of contacts truly is fantastic and as you've said many times before contacts are everything. Work with people you trust, pay what you need to pay to get the results you are expecting. Bottom line, you need to accept responsibility for your choices. Pura Vida!

In a way I’m guilty of the same thing. We moved from kind to animals and people, far south rural Chicago, to hate everybody, cruel to animals west Tennessee. I find the culture vile. We are 64 and 69 and have health issues, He won’t move. So I post on the internet all the time, if you love animals, and or come from a gentle Christian church..west Tennessee is not for you.

Allot of people benefit from temporarily doing a low fod-maps diet and than reintroducing things slowly and tracking reactions to each item as it’s reintroduced Main thing I’ve been avoiding is anything with a bunch of ingredients, especially crap with palm oil which has globally been rather destructive .. Carful with eggs, better to have eggs from a farmer vs factory farm if possible

that's true.. but strict carnivore doesn't allow honey or fruit. I will incorporate both at some point...

@@TravelCostaRicaNOW it’s basically an elimination diet which has it’s strategic purpose but like all things is a matter of trade offs Going back to basics is good as a reset (same idea as low fod-maps) but over a period of time it just results in deficiencies .. Low fat carnivore could cause a bit of constipation. But also, some may think they're constipated when really they're just absorbing most of their food. Bowel movements tend to happen much less often eating carnivore. Salt helps keep the bowel hydrated, too. Magnesium oxide draws a LOT of water to the gut and can clean you out if you're really having trouble. How pricy is the beef down there?

I make my own electrolytes from organic magnesium powder, Himalayan pink salt and Organic Potassium Powder i get from at our farmers market from our Organic lady. I am never going back to normal traditional food pyramid which kept me sick . Michael there will always be negative Nellies and comments about eating right because they still believe you NEED plants and etc to be healthy!!! Its ok because im the one getting healthier and stronger everyday and have healed so i don't listen to any of that static!!! My bloodwork is perfect. I keep connected with Carnivore community and carnivore Doctors . Carnivore is a lifestyle for me not a Diet. Diets don't work for lifestyle!!! Im never hungry and i never have food cravings , i eat when im hungry and stop when im full. I eat twice a day because I can't possibly eat more than that. Variety, they say, is the spice of life. I’ve tried various weight loss diets over the years, but I have found that just counting and limiting the number of calories in each meal to be the most effective and enjoyable. The all-protein diet is an expensive one, as well. Not sure about their diets these days, but when we live there in Costa Rica 40 years ago the average Costa Rican family only eight meat once a week.
@TravelCostaRicaNOWКүн бұрын
Yup... the amount of calories is everything. But I just naturally eat well, so I don't really have to do that. Yes, definitely can be expensive but I think my health is worth it, so most of my money goes to funding it lol. I will be adding things eventually ;). Thanx for sharing.

CR can be a difficult place for the keto/carnivore casual tourist. The typical plates in restaurants offer small protein portions with plenty of cheap carbs like rice, beans, potatoes, plantains, bread, tortillas. Sometimes the whole fish may suffice. That being said, I still miss pinto and so many of the fresh fruits.

I had great success with eating low carb but not strictly carnivore when I lived in Costa Rica. I did it because I am diabetic and wanted to be as independent from meds as possible while I was there. Within two months I was off meds completely and without even trying the weight started dropping off. My routine in the morning was coffee, a three egg omelet with diced onion, chili dulce, and chorizo, local queso blanco, and sriracha. Then about 2-3 in the afternoon I would have homemade soup or stew, or a salad or sandwich. I ate as much as I wanted when I was hungry, but found myself getting hungry less often. It was the easiest eating plan I've ever tried. Over time I've become convinced that any dietary plan can be an improvement when the first step is to eliminate overly processed convenience foods.

Carnivore knocks out those diabetic meds fast, so fast it shocked my endocrinologist... then I fired her(we really just said goodbye since she was no longer needed).

I have been in Costa Rica for less than 24 hours and this is by far the worst travel experience I have had in my life with the highest level of dishonesty I have ever encountered and everything is expensive, like Miami expensive and people have just not been friendly and I have been almost robbed on the street twice. The number of people here who lack morals seems higher than in other countries and to give an example of overcharging, I was charged $30USD for two pieces of chicken and two bags of nachos which cost around $4 if the people were honest. I am seriously considering flying out of this country tomorrow. I cannot stand dishonesty and thievery and I have lived in half of Latin America and never experienced anything like this, the absolute WORST experience I have had in Latin America. I might try the coast, but if it's the same there, I will leave and never come back. Less than 24 hours and San Jose, Costa Rica is scam city for sure. Is there a reason people here lack morals to such a degree?

Unfortunately due to recenly diagnosed heart disease in March and triple bypass surgery May 22, Im not able to eat meat, dairy, or anything with saturated fat in it. Im now convinced its 90% genetic though as I was living a pretty clean life, never smoked, havent had a drink in 33 years, but yet developed blocked arteries you would expect to see in somepne 30 years older.
