can u please hellppp meeee when i open an app it says digital signature verification i need to run an aadministrator to open an app pls help me fixxx i was installing new app and then suddently all exe file or apps wont run and now it says digital signature everytime a launch an app after i followed steps on fixing corrupted exe file

Ok, so Microsoft thought it was a good idea to remove the ability to open a file with whatever I chose. So I'm trying to open a native Maya file (.mel) in Notepad64 and only get the options Maya and Windows Store.....seriously wtf? EDIT: there is an empty white space just below the default app....text must be in white, I accidently clicked the area and got the familiar list of apps.

is there a way to make the quick launch toolbar [or similar toolbar] ALWAYS visible on the screen? like the old MS Office toolbar which only works up to Win 8.1

Hi. You can pin your favorite programs to the Task Bar, and then un-dock it, and move it to the side of your desktop.

Right-click in an empty area of the Taskbar, select Toolbars, and uncheck the Quick Launch Toolbar.

marksman55: in v1607 Anniversary Update, the Default Apps in the menu is now 3rd on the list, instead of second-to-last. Please open your eyes before making unnecessary comments like this

The tutorial didn't help. I accidentally set Adobe Reader as the default to open .LRV files but and understand how to change the default. However I want to entirely remove the default as that is how it was before.

The *.LRV files are used by the GoPro digital cameras, so you'd want to change it to that app. I don't use a GoPro, and therefore don't have *.LRV file extension on my system. If you need to remove it completely, it will require editing the registry (or perhaps uninstalling the GoPro app and clearing out the registry with Ccleaner).

I know they're GoPro files used for the iPhone app. Too bad it requires editing the registry. I'm technologically challenged.
