Sorry Im a little late, I dont think blender supports gaussian splats.

it will ignore the wide angle lens...sadly...and only it will only take the normal much more narrow field of view normal lens... there is no options to change this

In the cactus splat (around 0:35), where was the person holding the camera? Is the shadow of the photographer removed algorithmically?

Hi , Great video ! I was trying to achieve the same but the issue is that the we are getting a .mesh file and that needs to be exported to a obj/fbx file, also even after exporting the fbx file (scanned model) it's textures are not getting imported. Could you help please ?

My scans come out nice and when I measure them on the app the numbers are accurate, however, when i export to obj or stl to cad its 100x to small. Example 10” scan becomes .100” after export

Can you stop masking my rooms? I press area and do my whole room, then press detail so it looks better, then it only does a 3d model of my tv! I tried area but it doesn’t look as good as I want it to, anyway when you fix that, it’s a great app!

IPhone has LIDAR also. so maybe an android version maynot be useful on phones without lidar

Are you using a device with a LiDAR lens? It’s only on apple devices, only on iPhone Pro versions, and only 12 or higher.

The app works as advertised but not so much the sharing option from your video. I just get the normal Apple share sheet options on my iPhone 11 Pro and my iPad Pro M1 (used for the scan) but not the options/interface that I see at 2:29 in your video. Perfect succinct video though. Thank you! Any thoughts??? 🤷🏽‍♂️🙏🏻

You should build a crowdsourced 3d map of Earth. Then we could all walk around with our phones/drones/dashcams and scan the world to contribute. Maybe implement the NERF technology that Waymo/Google. used (faster than typical photogrammetry and requires fewer photos). My dream is a game like GTA/Flight Simulator/Forza of the entire planet. Perhaps use Ai to convert 3d-scanned objects into game objects with assets/materials from Unreal Engine.

You need the 12 or 13 Pro models, as the standard 12 doesn’t have LiDAR.

When editing a scan on my PC, as a mesh, is there any way to leave the color as is, and only change the amount of reflection that it has, in a given area of the object?
