Your sisterlocks are goals. So much progress since I started following your journey. Do you know how many locs you have, I want to start my journey and just for comparison sake although I know that all locs are never the same.

Thank you Marj, I appreaciate you for following my journey💛☺️. I have 353 locs (the last time i counted). During my install i decided to have medium sized sisterlocs instead of the thin ones. (You will notice a difference from the standard sisterlocs) i figured they would be managable being slightly bigger in size cause my hair was weak then. 🤍 I love the progress too, and cant wait for my 2yrs aniversary hoping my locs will have all fully matured because they are not Atm. Im sure you will have a beautiful journey when you start☺️.

Locs looks beautiful🥰, try oiling your scalp twice a week and wash with a dandruff shampoo. I am 3 months in my DIY locs, I wash every two weeks and oil scalp twice a week, I have no dryness 🤗

Very Helpful, thank you very much. Ive been doing my washes once a month ill change that, Thank you for reccommending the shampoo, do you have a specific brand in mind? Someone recommended the @tcbnaturals anti dandruff leavein spray with coconut oil & mint, i have used it for a week now and i can tell its soothing my scalp(will review it soon)

Hi! Congrats on your 7th month (cause I'm watching this now)..the volume does indeed look good and will be better with time and so will length. I have the same struggle with frizz, I've researched alot about it and there are several ways I'm using to reduce it: 1. Always braid and band when washing and run your fingers smoothly in between and along the braids as if you're massaging the scalp. Don't be rough 2. Reduce the amount of wash days if u can 3. Always braid your hair and put on a bonnet before sleeping 4. Reduce the amount of times you spritz your hair within the week...esp if you spritz till it becomes damp. -On matters dryness I use abit of oil on my scalp after washing or spritzing the few times I do so. If the coconut oil is working for you stick with it. -The balls at the end of some of your locs are tight coils, I have them at the back too and I adoreeee them Finally, your hair may take more than a year to fully loc, just have an open mind about it, I'm trying to too...nice time dear.

Finally! a Kenyan sisterlock youtuber, Hiiiii, nice video! I did DIY microlocs since I wanted Sisterlocks sooo much but couldn't afford, my go-to style is half up, half down.It always looks better coz of the amount of fizz I have

I am 8 months now and the frizz is not that bad now, the length is very visible than ever and i also dyed my locs black. Looking forward to know your progress, i am sure your DIY microlocs are as beautiful and congratulations on doing it yourself, very impressive. .

@@emilyactala Thank you dear, 8 months is alottt! Congrats! Don't know when I'll ever get there. My progress is interesting but baffling. Some twists are unravelling at the ends which I'm planning to interlock then when I get the chance and my frizz has reduced abit. I'm planning to do my reti mid Dec but I'm also considering doing palmrolling twists intead of the interlocking process. I'm at a crossroad here haha
