Everything is true except 2nd one. Unless the person has social anxiety. Aint no one standing up for straight up 40-60 mins just to get to work. If there is a seat, you take it

IME this attitude is quite different between the north and the south of the Netherlands. In the south, we joke how you'll get "one dry slice of pound cake" if there's a party or a funeral in the north. If something like this happens in Brabant or Limburg, generally even the locals will consider it a bit stingy. I'm sure there are some cultural differences even between cities throughout the country, though.

I think we should all practice reciprocity even in small actions vs just chivalry, there’s no reason men can’t hold the door for women AND women can’t hold the door for men. We should all be doing small good turns for each other I feel

i had a few French relationships a while back, it may be different now, but what i liked about them, and it may seem strange to say, they actually LIKE men, it wasn't a contest, IMO like many other types..

Giving flowers was a thing in America in the early to mid 20 century. It's dying out now in America really fast. You are correct dating with a purpose is dead in the western world, it's an lost art. This is why you have the beginning of the " Passport Bros Movement " in America. Another Great Video.

I find it weirder that people feel entitled to have people pay for them. I don’t want my friends to feel obliged to pay for me, even if they invite me over…

Swedish culture is actually strange, there`s for example no general perception of dating. For a minority dating might be ok but for most not. Most swedes are not upfront or straight with their feelings which makes them hard to deal with, also being pushy with girls gets you nowhere, swedes considers pushy people weird & they don`t want anything to do with them. Many swedes who lives in apartment houses don`t know who lives there & avoid meeting others who lives in the same building in the stairhouses. Overall Swedish culture is quirky & inhibited & it becomes too much for some people to deal with & swedish `macho men` doesn`t exist 😄😆 that`s nonsense, its a beta country were everyone sticks to the rules to avoid trouble with the law. Everyone falls in line & plays the `Beta game` also in dating.

English person here. All these small things are one the big reasons why Europeans are often sad because we lack interpersonal connections. If you visit Africa, Latin America and parts of Asia my goodness these people know how to have small talk and connect and they'll ask about all your family about your life they'll be deeply interested in what you say and will tell you everything there is about them and their life. There's this country in Africa it's normal for people to say goodbye to each other until they stop hearing each others voice. It often goes like Goodbye See you soon I'll miss you Greet everyone Tell everyone I'll see them soon I'll come around again I'll tell so and so I saw you and you're well I mean they'll keep going until they stop hearing each other. It was soo good to see

0:33, stupid woman behavour? Chronic feminism? Who knows? 4:51, I heard that in Russia, if a man doesn't pay the bill, "he's not a man at all!". I'm starting to think that germans are the best choice on this: split on 1st date, since both are just knowing each other; and if things evolve, then man could pay. And about the woman spend on makeup, it's even better that she shows her true face. 9:42, Brazil extreme here. 10:00, I offer to write an app for my family, to organize books in personal library and to warn about deadlines of foods. It would only require someone to enter the data. Nobody wanted it. 10:15, camera got a really bad angle of her! 10:23, fat girl deserved 7:53, but time is the cryptonite for brazilians. The only exception is Lady Gaga show and alikes, in which fans get into the line for months! 10:35, it's a healthy habit. The hard part is to not eat after that. 12:25, in Brazil, everything is felt emotionally, but most of the time not showed. So the bubble grows, to explode someday, haha! 13:55, specially jealousy, which can break a relationship from either of both sides, from the jealous 1 or the 1 who provokes jealousy. 15:35, yes, it's considered too cold. But I heard about some rare couples living in separated houses, to avoid weaken the relationship, and I found the idea kind of interesting. 16:45, persuasion.

Gay people won’t necessarily say that men and women are the same, but that isn’t what Michael meant. He’s saying that the concept of gay marriage implies that men and women are the same in some way. Michael doesn’t exactly believe that gay marriage is wrong. He thinks that it’s impossible because sexual difference is necessary for something to be called a marriage.

There is a difference between "stingy" which has a very ugly connotation and denotation, and "frugal" which is being responsible and cautious. Perhaps their fiscal conservatism at a personal level is why they are so prosperous.

About Dutch weddings: obviously there is also usually a group of guests who stay for the entire event, ceremony, reception, dinner, etc. These tend to be close family and friends. But an aunt or cousin who you've barely spoken to for two years? People from work? Why would they want to even stay for the party? You invite them for the ceremony and then let them get on with their day. It should also be noted that gifts aren't expected or customary at our weddings, so it's not like you're asking someone to drop off a €200 dinnerware set and then F off.
