Awesome you have his glove displayed. I have my grandfathers old glove displayed in my room. It’s one of my favorite pieces. Reminds me of the time we used to play catch. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Drew, Nothing like having pieces in your collection that have origins back to those you care about most. Some of the items you have will evoke similar meaning to your daughters and son some day. Great story Drew! I also have a glove that was passed down, it’s probably from the 20”s or 30’s as my father was born in 1917. It’s flat with no strings. And BTW, received the card holders yesterday, they are perfect!

Yeah, well, my dad gave me his old glove too, but his name was Roger Maris and I used that old beat up Roger Maris glove every day until my mom bought me a brand spanking new glove.

Great video! I love that you’re not stuck with blinders on for just cards. I too enjoy all things vintage which gives you that real life feel that sometimes cards fall short of. As you said, that glove from the 50’s is as if a Topps card came to life and you can hold the glove of the player in that picture. That’s how I fell in love with collecting Yankees scorecards from the 30’s-60’s. I can actually page through them and know someone was sitting at that game watching DiMaggio, Berra, mantle etc. It’s just a different feeling when compared to a card.
