I find all of this very strange. Does the fanbase actually want this? It just feels way to soon and to have the original cast playing other characters... very strange indeed.

One thing I notice NOT getting mentioned about Francesca is that she actually gets married, I believe, in her first season, long before Eloise. Her marriage is pretty much a foot note in one of the earlier books. Her book "When He Was Wicked," takes place after Eloise's story. I won't mention who, what or why to prevent too many spoilers for those who have not read the books. I could easily see her getting married this season as, although it is small part of her story, it will not negatively effect any stories before we actually get to her.

i've always been a big fan of the dresses in bridgerton's first and second seasons. however, in season 3, i've disliked many dresses, they look like halloween costumes and have lost their innocence

Hum? I can't believe that there are people that still don't know that Rege' Jean Page was only scheduled for the 1 season. Not because he requested but because that's how the show was setup. From what I've read, the Duke does not play any significant part in the storyline past his and Daphne's book. He does pop in now and then but he is not a main character. They could not tie up Rege' Jean Page like that because he is a very busy actor. It's more then about looks. It's about attitude, swagger and the quality of acting he gave. Rege' Jean Page was the Duke pure and simple. They can try to bring someone else in, but will it work? Especially since now the actress that plays Daphne has left too.

I think if they go with Lord Debling for Penelope, that the stakes will be up for the rest of the Bridgertons. Daphne and Anthony were lucky; they found someone who fit them, who understood them, someone who was their friend if not their second half, but that doesn't mean that the rest of the family needs to be that lucky. Just because the original cast isn’t doing it no more doesn’t mean the story should just end I know must of the fans aren’t going to be happy about D4 because of the passing but I don’t think it’s disrespectful at all for the story to continue im actually kinda excited the new characters that they had for D3 and D3 were good so I don’t expect anything less from D4 the original cast just doesn’t feel comfortable continuing filming without Cameron none of them have anything against the show or production team

.... not having a bath/shower does not mean they were dirty. the washing bowl and cloth were normal back then and able to clean ppl just as well as a bathtub. so they were not dirtier and cleaning their undergarments (shifts, shirts etc) also kept them clean (as in, kept the person clean, and protected the outer layers from sweat and body odor) so at least the upper class were not dirty/stinky at all
