I've only seen EHG once, but it was a borderline religious experience for me. They absolutely levelled the place.

I never really got big into EHG for whatever reason…but Mike’s guest vocals on the 94 Brutal Truth cover of Media Blitz are some of my favorite of all time. And his work on Metal Maniacs with Alicia 13 in the mid-90s made some fantastic issues. Wish I still had them. Gonna go play some EHG now.

I always KNEW that he took most influence by GODZ HELLHAMMER, you just simply can hear that on SLOWLY WE ROT while most people tend to think of Celtic Frost (another good choice, no doubt), but the riffing EDGE of the boosted High Mids speak a clear language...

I got to meet Mike & shake his hand at a show they played in Ohio with Cro-Mags & Fistula. I fan girl’d a little bit and yelled his name while he was passing the bar to grab his attention.
