Stupid spot to put the ski pole
@dbcycleparts
@dbcycleparts 12 күн бұрын
Actually it is there out of necessity, you can not mount it behind the seat as there is no room as it would not allow the motor to trim up if it was mounted on the back of the boat without a jackplate (which was not common back in 1991. So mount the ski pole in the center of the boat allows for clearance on the motor to be able to trim it up. Also it is a tall ski pole to get above the outboard cowl when pulling a skier. Rarely pull a skier with it though as most of the time it is idling around, or going wide open.

Oh, and it doubles as a great stripper pole too!

If I could find one for that price in Sweden Id buy it in a heartbeat! Is it still easy to find spare parts though? I remember always being in the garage back in 2006 lol. The jetting gave me a lot of trouble if I remember correct.@@dbcycleparts

Running a 300X now and the best I have seen is 89.1mph, with a 24p Turbo TXP on 1.62 sporty lower. Most of the time it runs in the mid 80's though.

Yes, it was the clutch ticking a little, pretty normal if they have any miles on them.

This is not a waverunner engine, and it was one of, if not the most reliable, best performing, triple cylinder snowmobiles 2 stroke motors ever made. I have personally owned one that had 32,000 miles on it and had never been rebuilt, and a second one that had 13,000 miles on it that had never been rebuilt. That is significantly longer than any other triple 2 stroke in a sled I have seen, and I have owned probably 100 plus triples over the years.
