Ahh, well that’s good old economics for you. Supply and demand. I’m a reseller. I often tell the people I buy from that I’m a reseller. I’ve never once had anyone be anything other than fascinated about what I do or even offer me great prices - because quite often I’ll buy bundles of stuff and they can offload. There are two types of bootsale seller. The private ones who are there to have a clear out and want rid, or the house clearance guys who also absolutely do not want to keep hold of stuff. I’m extremely polite and friendly to all sellers, and I haggle nicely based on my knowledge of the market. If they want to much, and nowhere near what I want to pay I move on. I have quite often had people tell me what stuff is “going for on Ebay” and honestly, it’s usually wrong because it isn’t based on what is actually selling or what it sold for. There’s enough stuff for everyone….honestly there is.

We kind of get garage sales here mainly it's table tops but most weeks I find really good stuff at the car boot

The machine uses a chip with a timer built into it when the timer runs out you can no longer use the machine unless you buy another chip, that is why I have got an unlimited chip which you can get on eBay

@@lurekayaklrf Yes that is the conclusion I came to too. As I understand it, the consumables wear out and you're not supposed to use them beyond that point. So the chip forces you to buy more consumables. I assume their argument would be that using the consumables for too long will damage the discs. Whether it's actually some cynical ploy to force you to buy things you don't strictly need is another matter.

It's more useful for ""as a service" situation, i can imagine it being very useful in video game stores in the late 90's / early 2000's. Kids would leave the cds out of cases and itd scratch up to hell over time. Having the ability to potentially restore customers discs for a fee would be good business i think.

I think the idea is that you do more than one.

If you are a collector, buying, reselling, trading, then this item pays for itself.

It doesn't have any sanding disc. It's just got a polishing disc. Also, the chip is on how long you can use the machine for. That is why I got an unlimited chip
