So a guru would make this thing run smoothly for 45 hours

I know this video is quite old but I've been thinking about getting into the SCA competitions (even scored an older PK recently) and this really gave me insight as to what's involved. But I live quite far from any competitions and I just don't know or understand the "end" game. How do you get rid of the coals after the cook... How do you cool the cooker enough to travel... just logistical things I wish someone would post... But really a great video of the process, thanks!

We had our most expensive, and WORST prime rib for our Christmas dinner last year. So much for big box shopping centers. Well, when I did mine it was around the same time as yours; mine February 1, 2022; SC took almost 3 months for my paperwork, including losing my finger prints! then took another long time to send it; they did it by May 2022 after me complaining like almost every week, then the time it took for the process making it slightly longer than yours; in that time, from mid January I bought other cans with Silencer Co, I received them around June; now this process was done ELECTRONICALLY in a kiosk taking the finger prints and all sent the SAME day as I bought the suppressors! Silence Central claims they have no idea what the kiosk is; the experience with them was SO bad that I have not used the Banish at all as I got the others and they work just fine' now add the limitations of the Banish 30, not being able to remove the threaded cap (nowhere to find a tool for it) and not being able to convert it from direct thread to QD; there may be an adapter but I cant find it; I just fell out of love and hence have not used it and wish I never got it; should have gotten something else and the reality is I will never ever buy a can from them; another reason not to shoot with it is I read people have had issues but God Forbids an issue with it and have to send it to THEM????? hell no!!! it would be there for another year; their customer service at the time I did my bid was so bad that they lost a customer in me straight out; they seem not to care; business as usual...until they piss off lot of shooters and they go take their business somewhere else!

It’s a crime that US citizens have to even go through this process just to get a silencer.

I saw a person at a car wash with an offset cabinet smoker and grill. He had two others with him and they cleaned the grills to perfection! They had a F-150 pickup and loaded them up on it with a ramp.

I had someone ask for no rub ribs and had to see if anyone has done it 😂

How do you compare this versus offset and even a pellet? From same company. I have a kamado Joe and for the looks seems to work similar with lump and wood chunks. Do you happen to know what makes this different from kamado ?

Those lever guns look great! We've got an old Ted Williams 30/30 lever gun. It's from the old Sears days - Ted Williams line of sporting goods, from baseball gloves to lever guns. I believe it was made by Winchester. It's a solid old shooter.

Feel free to give this a try for sauce: BBQ Sauce for RIBS: 2 cups dark brown sugar 1 cup dark Karo syrup 3/4 cup ketchup 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons cider vinegar 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon chili powder 6 teaspoons of rub of your choice *Try 2 at first and top out once you like the flavor. 1/2 + 1/8 teaspoon powdered ginger 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice For heat - optional: hot sauce to taste or cayenne pepper, start low with 1/4 teaspoon. Mix, heat slowly. Heat on lowest setting, stirring constantly to evaporate some of the liquid and get all the sugar melted. Do not boil! Don’t “cook” this sauce; just get it all melted together and allow some of the liquid present in the vinegar and ketchup cook off a bit so it’s not too runny. Store in refrigerator.

I purchased a Banish 30 and Banish 45 at the same time on Nov 21, 2021. Did all my paperwork fingerprints and sent everything back right away. My paperwork was not submitted to ATF until Feb 2022 for some reason and it gets worse. They didn't complete the form for the Banish 45, but more on that later. I received the Banish 30 on Aug 11, 2022. On Sept 23, 2022 I get an email that the ATF rejected my application for the Banish 45 because the form was incomplete. No one explained how or why that happened. On Oct 2, 2022 it was resubmitted and approved on July 7, 2023. I received the Banish 45 on July 21, 2023. Total time for the Banish 30: 263 days. Total time for the Banish 45 to be approved and received: 288 days. Total Elapsed Time from Purchase to complete order fulfillment: 607 days, 20 Months. Just shy of 2 years because the paperwork was not filled out the first time correctly for BOTH suppressors. That said, Silencer Central has very good Customer Service. Someone just dropped the ball on the paperwork and it took WAY longer that it should have. I should have received both of them around Aug 2022, but had to wait almost a full year after re-submitting the form to get the second one. Just something to consider when you are wondering how long ATF will take and make sure ALL your paperwork is properly submitted the FIRST time. Good luck. It's still worth the wait. I hope my experience helps.

Well now this was a interesting video and the absolute worst thing about obtaining a suppressor is the wait. I ordered a banished 30 from silencer Central and it took 13 months all total before I took delivery of the suppressor. Really anybody that has a good background check should just be able to walk in and buy one over the counter but the dems will never let that happen.

I went through silencer shop(purchased item w/$200 "tax" stamp) and they did all the atf crap. I just got passport photos taken/finger prints(had to make a local appointment @ identigo mailed them to silencer shop and they do all the rest.They should revieve it 6/20/23 and then the grueling wait begins!

This is a great video, thanks. I’ve also been considering selling my LSG offset to get a IVS. With the efficiency and decreased airflow, have you noticed dirtier smoke when wood chunks ignite? Seems like by definition you’d just have worse combustion efficiency with less airflow, and therefore worse or less smoke flavor. I just can’t get my head around that… only thing that’s kept me from switching so far. Thanks again for the video.

$3000 for a smoker to save a couple bucks on some pipe fittings. Do it right instead of using hack plumbing parts (that shouldn’t even be sold) that will melt with hot grease and drip because of the corrugation trapping grease.

Nice setup, It is such BS to have to pay 200 to the government and wait a year to get something you can build at home for pennies. Ive been waiting on mine since Aug 2022 still NOTHING!!!

Mine took 14 months with the eform. Might have been shorter but there was a glitch and was denied for not dotting an i. Then 2nd go arround was 9 months.
