wie sich inzwischen gezeigt hat, passt die mitgelieferte Halterung vom eLite direkt auf das Alu-Rahmenrohr vom Minicat 420. Es ist also kein weiterer Motorspiegel mehr nötig ! Der Motor kommt dann auch noch einige Zentimeter tiefer ins Wasser, was auch von Vorteil ist

it´s from the Minicat 420, to put away a front- gennaker sail ( not the rolling genna sail). Rolling genna is only possible on the bigger models, not on the smaller ones, 310 & Guppy model

The best assembly video of all! Cause you show what to do with the loose ends of the ropes (e.g. after tightening the trampoline or rigging the forestay)!

Hi, danke für das Video! Wie hast Du die Bugspriet Halterung gebaut? Könntest Du mir dazu ein paar Infos geben? Das erscheint mir eine wesentlich bessere Lösung als die Anbringung mit Riemen am Schwimmer zu sein…VG

das ist ein Eigenbau ( mit der Roland Rack Clamp) als Halterung am Bugspriet. Es haben sich auch schon viele Leute diese Halterung aus PVC Rohren gebaut. Ansonsten gibt es auch eine sehr gute original Vaquita-Ruderblatthalterung , dann sitzt der Propeller auf dem Ruderblatt und wird beim segeln einfach hochgeklappt

@@minicatmaran just I can say for the same price smartkat is bft 6 and minicat just 4 . minicat is made cz instead smartkat is made in austria. also could be cheaper price minicat. and other more things. I hope will be usefull for buyers that.

@@millel2264 it´s no problem for sailing with the Minicat 420 with 5 Bft wind. It´s high quality production in EU Czech & Germany

I thought I did, I described what I was doing in each step. So that you can see the actions clearly...most important is not to panic, and to stay calm ( that is what to practice it for)

The cat at 8.23, does it have a motor/prop ? I'm assuming for all of your safety? Would have preferred ambient sounds instead of crap music. And more footage of tent/boat set up, thanks.

yes that is the Epropulsion Spirit 1.0 motor, very good for small boats! sleeping on the minicats works well with small tents:)

I suggest to reconsider the advice to approach a catamaran in the frontal direction. Acting this way - you endangering yourself in falling onto a tightening pin/lines or getting your hand or leg stuck between the line and one of frame tubes. It is way safer to stand mid-way the trampoline length and then get to the boat from a side. Additional considerations - a) applying your weight to the front in decent wind could cause the vessel to roll again b) entering from the side gives you immediate control on main sheet/rudder.

Vllt ist das bei den kleineren Aufblaßcats anders, aber ich habe ebenfalls mal gelernt, dass man niemals von hinten aufsteigt -> dort sind zu viele bewegliche Teile die kaputt gehen oder an denen man sich verletzen kann und dort treibt in der Regel auch die Großschot rum. Wir klettern mittig von der Seite drauf, lösen von dort aus die Schoten & Leinen und bewegen uns dann etwas nach vorne auf dem Rumpf, damit der Cat sich selber in den Wind dreht bevor wir ihn aufrichten. Bei einem durchgekenterten Cat stellen wir uns auf dem Lee-Rumpf ganz nach hinten und ziehen an der Kenterleine, dadurch geht der Cat wieder in die Seitenlage und kann normal aufgerichtet werden.

Naja, da würde ich doch direkt vom cat aus paddeln. Ruder festlegen und ab die Post. Für was noch einen Paddeltcat davor.

Hello guys .....I saw someone who has the 420 instict minicat made a modification that probably helps to raise the mast by themselves. let me explain. they added a halyard on top of the mast that hooks into the tip of the bowsprit. if anyone has made that change I ask if it works? the halyard does not disturb the jib? Can you post few pictures please?

1:03 niemals bei einem gekenterten boot unter dem rumpf durchtauchen... das video solltet ihr nochmal drehen damit keiner diesen fehler nachmacht. genau so passieren unfälle mit eventueller todesfolge wenn man sich in leinen verfängt.

yes it was good.light 3 Bft with some gusts 4/5 Bft. The genoa is perfect for 3 Bft cruising...! if the wind gets too strong just roll it in quickly and use the jib instead!

Did you guys need the vigneta for the 420 in Croatia? Or I don't have to worry about that when sailing my cat there :) ? Thanks a lot... The trip looks like lot of fun, looking forward to see the next one.

we use this motor also on our tours ( Croatia) just to get to the next harbor or anchor bay, or for passing a bridge when the wind is gone

I don´t think it´s a really good idea. Guppy is maybe a little too small and not fast enough to sail such a trip...

da waren die anderen schon am Sonntag, die Tour haben wir zusammen erst wieder Montag gestartet. Zminjak ist unter Minicatlern bekannt als die "Pacman" Insel, wegen Ihrer Form:) daher ist Ravan auch die "Peanut" Insel

yes sure! but over a longer distance, let´s say maybe 30-60 min. it´s very hard to paddle the Minicat alone with one person. With that idea you can get back also over several miles distance.

Darf ich fragen welche Minicat Größe das ist? Ich möchte auch gern mit Zelt auf dem Minicat segeln, weiß aber nicht welche Größe da passt.

Wir waren mit dem Minicat 420 unterwegs. Mit Zelt braucht man den 420er oder 460er Minicat!

@@NicoSchweinzer wird schon eng mit dem 310er, und Zelt, Equipment etc. Segeltechnisch geht das schon. Es gibt auch ein tolles Video von Igor Stropnik "9 days in a sailing dinghy-croatia adventure". Sein Boot da ist vergleichbar mit der Größe des Minicat 310, also alles ist irgendwie möglich:)
