humorous for the 1000 psi but it would have useful if you started at 200 psi and worked your way up to find the exact failure point.

How does exercising the valve keep corrosion away? I never knew to do this.

I bought a Kohler Arsdale R24213-VS.... Its a "water saving unit". The water saving valve (restrictor) is reducing the water pressure too too much. I'm getting a very low water flow. Kohler is going to send me a replacement valve thing. We'll see if that helps. Can you show how to remove that plastic control valve piece. It has a small metal clip.....

The key questions are what does it cost in labor and materials. And what does it cost the homeowner. Only then could one make an educated decision. Would not be enough to simply know the cost to the homeowner.

idk what's the deal with these valves. i had 2 one as shutdown and a small one that was working like a tap with a hose, and both the ball got stuck and wasn't moving despite the handlet doing so. update: i managed to fix the shutdown one by removing the handle and pushing the stem down and it connected to the ball again, the other one was too much loose and couldn't fix it and i think i damaged it by disarming it because now it leaks in the middle of it lol.

I am here searching about the “quarter turn angle valve” because it is clogged. Our house is only 6 years old and it already failed! He is right, the quarter turn angle shut off valve is junk!

Thank you for the video. I'm not sure about Kohler but I know with past experience that Moen, much like countless other mega-million dollar businesses, has adopted the You-Make-Us-Rich-And-We-Provide-You-Absolute-Shitty-Customer-Service policies

We have had Kohler in every home and they are terrific. If you have problems down the road they send you the parts or replacements. I had faucets in our home last 12 years no problems. A vote for Always buy Kohler.

No 1/4 turn valves for me. Another reason to avoid them, they can’t be repaired. You can buy a rebuild kit and put new seals in the multi turn valves without removing the valve body. Now you have a new valve and you didn’t have to shorten the pipe stub coming out of the wall to install a new valve. Most homes, you only have enough pipe / tubing to cut it once or twice to install a new valve. Just leave it alone and put new seals / stem in it. I can’t figure out the desire to go to 1/4 turns. It takes 5 seconds longer to close a multi turn valve….who cares?

Damn I wish I knew about that. Is that better than Hammer-Head® Trench-less liner what I had installed in my place? I was very limited on what I could do with my duplex I live in. My place has no crawl space just a concrete slab and that's it. I was worried that having in lined would make the sewer pipe to small and cause more problems. The descaled and ground down pipe and then epoxy lined looked to be a better option on my end. I was told that it would not work right and be as strong as that Hammer-Head Liner which is VERY VERY Strong in the it reminds my of a wool sock that has been dipped in a glue it was so strong that I stood on it and it bent very little and that was it. It cost my 17,000 bucks with a 40 year warranty

Be careful. Nowadays, if you buy a Kohler fixture at Home Depot, they will put a target on your back and you will start to get spam calls. Did you buy fixtures at Home Depot? Do you need help? Do you need a contractor? Am I bothering you? Am I calling your personal phone? If we can come to your home do you have any dogs that will bite? What kind of car do you have? How can we tell where your house is? Are we bothering you? Things like this have got to stop

Thank you Almco. This video was a lifesaver! All other videos show the easy removal of the more modern type of faucet. Seeing this video showed me how to remove the old faucet. (Allen wrench set screw--corroded of course--at the base of the faucet above the sink was the key.) Once I cleaned out the access and found the right allen wrench, I was able to lift the old faucet off to access the phillips head screws that you show in this video. After that it was smooth sailing! Without you it would have remained a mystery.
