For headscratcher questions how about this one. :D If the Loom make it so people they eat never existed, why is it that new people don't appear to replace them? After all, the Loom aren't erasing the need for XXX number of crew on the ship, or the desire of various parents who would have continued trying to have kids.

Trek Culture has over 300 thousand subscribers and is a offshoot of What Culture a massive channel. Comparing the views would be like comparing Siskel and Eberts ratings to the guy doing reviews on your local public access station back in the day. It's Apples and Oranges.

@@jokerz7936 umm like 3 years ago they didn’t , look at historical trends in subscribers… if u being honest you would look at the drop in views on trek yards over time but litte subscriber change - that means peolle just aren’t watching. and the fact the exact same review of same episodes makes your logic dumb vexause trekkies want all content unless it is deemed bad content.. fyi, content from an arrogant creator drives away viewers Even based on your logic it should be like 5/6 times as many views which is not what we are seeing But go ahead and make false comparisons won’t help the view count. As of now we are approaching 20k for trek culture and less than 1k on trek yards, nearly 20x the views- your logic is pure cope

Paramount dismissing Prodigy in favour of other series tells me: 1. Paramount do not care for the quality of programme. 2. Paramount does not understand Star Trek. 3. Internal politics rule above good decision making at Paramount. Thank you Netflix for saving this series and giving us the best Trek in years

I'm a Star Trek unconditional fan, but there's a thing I deeply hate with this season, it's Wesley's magic thing. At this point it's not even pseudo-science babblings, it's just pure fantasy BS. Space, time and thoughts WTF. Even Q's magic is more believable.
@AaronWaltke

@@AaronWaltke Sorry but only waving your hands in the air and saying the magic formula "space, time and thoughts" to instantly travel across space and time isn't much scientific any how. Maybe it's all about how it been rendered in Prodigy. The way it is, it's like having a Naruto-Star Trek crossover where Wesley can use the rinnegan to hand jutsu his way through portals anywhere and when he wants... unless having depleted all of his chakra. Gladly Dal didn't been turned into a jinchūriki despite him having a rat tail.

@@vivalarevolucion9 I suggest you rewatch the episodes with the Traveler in TNG. That is precisely what they do. Wesley stops time with the power of his thoughts, and opens portals to other dimensions. As previously stated, this is how it was rendered in other Trek.

@@AaronWaltke are you liking your own comments btw... it's weird that it gain a like at the second you post it... unless Wesley liked it before you post it... "space, time, thoughts, like comments"... 😂 It's not because a bad writer took too much LSD in the 90's and turned Wesley into a Q that such nonsense had to be revived in Prodigy... whatever if "canon". There's plenty of canon stuff who been toss aside and should remain that way. Oh well, I'm not of these who have no opinion because something is canon. I think it could have been much better handled. If one day the writers decide to make the Force canon (we're pretty close from it already, just not tagged as it) and do a Star Wars crossover, we'll also have to deal with it... whatever our personal opinion about if it should be canon or classed as LSD canon. Should I hypocritically like my comments too? 🤣

Holograms that fool sensors were established in Voyager’s “Flesh and Blood” and Janeway wasn’t shocked by that existing. Incidentally the big dome holodeck I thought was reminiscent of the Hirogen training arena holodeck. Sounded more like something that wasn’t done in common practice and is frowned upon or whatever. Plus how many times do they reconfigure a tricorder to make fake life signs, just an extension of that.

Turbo lift numbers in ST V is the least of my issues with that scene. How does Spock go up a few deck to get jet boots wirh getting caught. If he knew a short cut why not take Kirk and McCoy?: Having recently just rewatched STV got it has some beautiful shots in it opening 10 minutes and whole movie has scene of adventures, sailing into the unknown and really plays to the strangrh of Kirk, Spock McCoy dynamic.

To put the advancement in Star Trek terms, the Terran Federation had to send twenty pursuit ships to overwhelm the Liberator in a straight fight by attacking in waves maintaining constant attrition on its shields while their Romulan-style plasma weapons recharged. The System (the people who built the Liberator) are functionally the Borg of this setting. The Terran Federation have generally better commanders than Starfleet (being rather more militaristic) and the advantage of far more manoeuvrable vessels, which is why they avoided a Wolf 359 style disaster in that matchup. Plus the Liberator only had a skeleton crew.

Pretty clear it's a callback to earlier mistakes, and a way to make Ma'jel's ride take even longer than it logically should. I thought it was funny. Given the love and detail they put into so many elements if this season (that office for example), there's no way they weren't aware of this.

to be honest, it may be that the numbers are not the numerical numbers of decks, but the numbers assigned to a deck (which are actually random numbers from 1 to 100) I think some navies do that... this means deck A, B, C etc. is thesame in all ships of thesame class, but it might be numbered differently on different ships.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A STAR TREK SERIES ABOUT MACO OR THE MARINES. I FEEL THAT THE FEDERATION NEEDS TO TAKE A MORE MILLTARY APPROACH TO SOLVING PROBLEMS. PERHAPS THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE DIVISIONS WITH IN THE FEDERATION THAT TACKLE IN ARRAY OF THREATS RATHER THEN SAYING STAR FLEET INTELLEGENCE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE STAR TREK LEGACY. LEGACY CHARACTERS DOING THE SAME BORING STUPID STUFF THAT THERE PARENTS DID BEFORE THEM. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT OUR FUTURE DOESNT HAVE ENOUGH DARRING DO AND WHOP ASS.

Don't ask hard questions like what happened in star trek 5. They flew to the center of the galaxy and back. With the sustainable speed of the Enterprise back then, that trip would have taken over 200 years. (Under the assumption that the constitution refit actually could maintain warp 7(old scale) long term) With all those impossible things shown, I have to assume it was just a fever dream Kirk had.

I feel like decks in most discussions within the crew can refer to floors people can walk on, then you also have thinner sub decks for pipes, conduits, etc, including Jeffries tubes. that can bring the total count higher.

The Final Frontier mistake bothers me so much because having the decks count down to 1 would work much better with the tension of the scene. The numbers going arbitrarily higher doesn't emphasize the risk the way a literal countdown would.
