I had an issue that involved both my bank and PayPal. The PayPal account was short just 6$, and since it was link to my bank account I was hit with a 45$ NSF on my banks end. PayPal continued to try and withdraw the money causing another two 45$ NSF fees. Ended with a total of 135$ of charges before I caught it, and this was all because my account was 6$ short.

Great video, @MarianneHickman. There are always ways to start a handbag business like our company did, but doing it from home is a great start! Wonder how many people have done this since your initial lovely post? :)

We just closed our PayPal account . Got a text message from allegedly PayPal support saying a charge was pending and it looked suspicious . We opened our PayPal account and rang the support number inside the official account . Got a rude Indian guy who pressured my wife for her credit card number and the security code . We said no to the security code and he became abusive and told my wife who had been polite to shut her mouth and he hung up . We rang our bank and no such charge was pending but we canceled our card anyway . This was a scam coming from inside PayPal support . We will never use PayPal ever again it's corrupted within .

This is rather confusing. She seems like a fully adult woman, whether she's his daughter or not. What sort of 'rule' did she break that bothers him so much? She's not five years old anymore. Maybe 'Dad' has some growing up to do.

The full episode has some pretty cool context. I don’t think any parents can say that they’ve never gotten angry in response to their kids.
@HRPFayetteville27 күн бұрын
It's called emotional immaturity.And you need to grow up and learn a different way to handle disappointments.Special with kids.Their whole existence is to make mistakes and learn from them.I hate an anger shut all that down

What is more safe: to use your bank accout or your card (with secure code of corse) on PayPal for sending the money?

Good question. I like to have an extra barrier of protection so I don’t love using my back account directly.

This woman is not speaking the truth. I have suffered from Paypal and I am still suffering. All this took place in 2014 and my case still is not resolved in 2024. I worked with a lady that operated a wellness studio in 2014. She wanted to buy some products for her studio and gave me her card and told me to add it to my account and just make the purchases as i mananged her business. In stupidity, i did. Big mistake! PayPal branded me a scammer and even after they spoke to the lady and she explained the situation to them, they still would not relent. The ask her for bank statements, ID's, credit card statements, the entire shibang and she sent it all. They still said they needed more proof that she was indeed the owner of the card and that she gave me permission to use her card. After trying her darnest to clear the misunderstanding, she got frustrated and gave up. I was now stuck, with a blotch on my name. Nine years later, my account with PayPal is still frozen and there is nothing i I can do to clear my name and account. I no longer work for nor have contacts for that lady. There is absolutely no way to repair this situation. I was also scammed by a seller i bought some items from and PayPal did nothing to investigate or refund my money. That my horror story and the truth about how PayPal operates. If you are scammed by a seller, there is no chance of your money being returned, at least not in my case. Upon my error of adding someone elses card to my account, they did nothing for me the customer in helping us to sort out the mess. Chance it if you choose.

This video does not cover any negative sides of paypal and is either sponsored or not credible. Please note, that if you mark the seller or recipient as “friend or family* you do not stand a chance to get any money back.

What about when the CRM crashes?
@Marianne_Hickman29 күн бұрын
It happens from time to time. Nothing is exempt. But usually when a CRM crashes, which is very rare, you don’t lose any of your data. And you don’t lose your list. Usually, your audience won’t even notice.

Marianne you are my hero! So inspirational. I share your podcast with everyone who’s willing to hear. Most people wake up in the morning and drink a gallon of coffee to get their day started. Myself I record all your conversations and listen to them first thing in the morning or when ever I have a chance. That’s all the caffeine I need. You inspire me to want to better myself in all that I do. I got my wife and family members to listen to you and they are all hooked. We are all “Mariannators!”. Once again thank you for sharing all that knowledge with the world. Keep up the good work. We love you!!!
