@@lonestarroman6614 Yeah it pop’s pretty good nothing crazy but you get the burbles. Adding a down-pipe will definitely make those pops louder.

@@lonestarroman6614 yeah otherwise you will have a check engine due to the downpipe. You can run a tune without a downpipe as well.

@@TheChicag0an no not at all this only enhanced the turbo spool sound and I got a nice turbo flutter when releasing the gas at a certain RPM.

No changing the catback exhaust does not cause a check engine light. Only when you change the down pipe.

No because it’s pretty quiet when you don’t step on it. Sometimes I forget it’s there but when I step on it i love it! lol

I still have this car with the same exhaust set up! It’s been great it’s loud when I need it to be. But up around 4K RPM it does drone a bit but not too loud.

I noticed a slight gain in power. But in this video I was stock. I recently tuned my car to APR stage 1 plus it’s been awesome! I will uploading a review video.

For the price of this exhaust it’s great! You can always get the one with the mufflers. At the time of this video I also had the APR air intake. Just recently tuned my car to APR stage 1 plus. I will be doing a review video on that soon!

@@jesussalgado7210 that’s awesome man. I’m very much considering this exhaust but I don’t know if the mufflers will be too quiet or not. Is the non muffler version slightly quieter than a basic resonator delete?

@@AveryObsidianXylia I was thinking the same thing but I just decided to go with out the mufflers. No regrets lol it’s nice and loud when you need it! Also the colds starts are awesome. I would say it’s louder because it does have a smaller resonator vs the stock exhaust.

@@jesussalgado7210 that’s good to know. I just don’t want obnoxious since my GTI is my daily. The exhaust also seemed budget friendly which is good for me since my GTI is my first car and I’m limited to how much I can spend on mods. I wanted a resonator delete before but I figured it would drone too much on the highway. I’ll definitely buy this exhaust in the future when the weather gets warmer and hopefully an intake. Cheers!

I personally don’t like them, but the DSG transmission naturally makes this when when at WOT. Some people go out of their way to get a DSG pops and bangs tune. Those are obnoxious to me.

Definitely get an air intake! It brings out that turbo spool sound nicely!

I definitely recommend the MST performance air intake. I have had zero issues with it and I love the sounds it makes.

It definitely makes turbo sounds and you can hear the turbo spoiling. But you shouldn’t be getting a vacuum sound. Any difference in performance? Does it driver slower? Check engine light?

I want to say it’s on the steering wheel. There should be a button that looks like a window try hitting that.

You can definitely hear it inside, nice deep tone but no flutter, it’s the DSG farts when shifting you hear. I really like it no complaints!

I think their website claims around 8-10 HP gain but nothing crazy noticeable. The throttle response is definitely a lot sharper and the turbo noises are awesome! I’m happy with this purchase.

I agree the manual GTI is more fun to drive. My first MK6 GTI was manual I drove that for 5 years before selling it. But my wife drives this car on the daily so I had to get the DSG. Plus the DSG shifts and farts are really fun and the DSG is faster then the manual. So no need to say sorry 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yup it’s still running smooth! I just recently cleaned the filter as well.

For what it’s worth I think it’s a great exhaust! No complaints here. Currently running full APR intake and cat back exhaust. I will be getting a stage 1 tune in the next couple of weeks!

Good mod man makes a noticeable difference in your torque you pull like a v8 but I shift no further than 5500-6k for max power it really dies off up top unlike the stock tune. But deftly do consider engine and transmission mounts to help with the power getting down better and reducing engine and wheel hop. I’m running 034 street density mounts for that and it really pulls nice with those

No you don’t need a tune to run this air intake.

I believe it does it by it’s self when it goes from sunlight to nighttime or anywhere dark while headlights are off.

Yeah I thought it was pretty cool how it changed on it’s own. But no my does not have the fully digital display.

I don’t! But the MST air intake does come with install instructions, it was a pretty easy install it took me about 45 min.

The price of this exhaust is definitely worth it. Also the reviews I read about it were pretty good. I’m happy with it and my girlfriend also drives this on the daily with our 2 year old son and she hasn’t complained lol so that’s a win!

I’ve had zero issues with this system. I would totally recommend it! You can hear the turbo spool up nicely! It comes with a washable dry filter. If you’re looking for more turbo sounds and a bit more power I would totally get it.

Yeah it goes all the way down to the turbo inlet pipe. The website I got it at said it’s good for 2018’s and up. I don’t think the 22s changed much in that department.

Yeah it might be a little louder, but I don’t want to suffer performance for more sound. It sounds better in person. Overall I’m happy with it.

Open air intakes suck up hotter air rather then a closed system. Colder air means more power.
