Great DIY. I had my line come off and bird nested on me. Do I need to spool new line or can I use the same one?

Isn't the line supposed to come off anti clockwise? What direction does the reel on the fishing rod go?

I made this, thanks for the video. It should be mentioned that in addition to spooling toward you, if that means it's turning in the same direction that would tighten the wing nut, flip it around. Mine got tighter and tighter, until I realized it was tightening. I ended up butting 2 nuts, absolutely no play at that point. Worked really well!

Hey, great job on the video. I am installing mhis unit on my pontoon in the morning. Is that yellow unit box ground required?
@risksrewardsrelics51
@risksrewardsrelics51 4 жыл бұрын
Alan Cox if your boat has an electrical system ground, then I would use it to protect your head unit from static or other electrical interference. It is not necessary though. Mine is installed in a plastic removable kayak pod, I just hooked straight up the battery without the additional ground.

Hello almost every video i watched abour the Garmin striker plus 7 SV are tested and used in lake ( fresh water) did anybody used at the sea for deep drop fishing up to 160 metre? thank you in advance

Majdi mechergui I believe this is rated up to 330m in saltwater (over twice that in freshwater), but I would rinse everything down well after using it in saltwater.

@@risksrewardsrelics51 Thank you for your reply. with the transducer that came with the fishfinder ( the GT52HW-TM) i don't think it can reach that depth (even the 100/150 meter it won't be clair echo) i think it go's well with GT51M-TM.

*This product is amazing!>>>**allabout.wiki/evtx** Saves so much time and so easy to use. No more finger buts from holding line on a pencil with changing line to different reels. Awesome product idea. Have not had any problems with this product.*

They should do regional boxes. Just like yourself i am NorthEast and some of the lures they send are just not a native looking lure to our area.

Make yourself an arm with an eye (hole in top of wood, metal rod in that, bent over, & shaped into an eye for the line) to keep the line roughly centered over the spool so it won't roll off either side to get tangled and you'd have just about the perfect line spooler.

I had the same issue with the wing nut coming loose as I was spoiling my reel. I took some painters tape and wrapped it behind the wing nut. This kept it in place. Thanks for making the video.

Did you ever make a video of mounting it to the FlexPod? I just picked up the same fish finder today and plan on installing it in my Radar 115 this weekend. Always good to see others who made videos on the same equipment :)
@risksrewardsrelics51
@risksrewardsrelics51 6 жыл бұрын
HookEmJason I attempted to make a video, but I was having camera issues and decided to scrap it. If you have any questions though, don’t be afraid to ask. I also added a usb charging port w/ voltmeter to the flexpod and have a wiring diagram drawn up if you need it. The most important thing is mounting the transducer low enough to clear the hull for the side scan to work. On the ATAK, about an inch and a half was enough. I used closed cell foam with nylon spacers in the screw holes to fill the gap.
