Is there another video with power off stalls? It would be useful for engine out situations, forced landings, stall,on approach.

In the early 80's I had an Eipper Quicksilver weight shift (swing seat we called em') with a 15 h.p. Yamaha engine. Don "Hawk" Wyatt down here in Vegas taught me to fly. Look how far we've come. Great video and thanks for the memories.

This is fantastic - I'm hoping this yields more instructors embracing ultralight training. I'll share this on the ultralight groups I frequent so that pilots (new and old) can benefit from this. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, is there a trike model you can recommend that is most basic that is easy to break down and set up where I can drive it to a site or airport and then take it back home?
@PaulHamiltonCFI4 ай бұрын
Depends on allot of factors. Are you going to put it on a hang glider wing? Can you roll it into a trailer? Aeros has a new super portable. Evolution has s nice one beefy to roll into a trailer. So many options.

I will be training in Zephyrhills Florida this spring on my new Rev 12UL!!!!! One of my goals in 2025 is to fly around the Tahoe and Arizona areas. Please help me connect to whomever I need to to accomplish this great goal!

I have many old floats that still weigh just right but the carbs overflow even after new needle valves, i think the seats can be a problem. I have unnecessarily changed float sets as part of the 5yr carb rebuild even when they arent sinking, and yet the bad seats can cause rough running, poor idling etc etc. My engine always starts and runs perfectly smooth while the float bowls are low from evaporation since last run, but 30 sec after start up it gets rough and starts shaking and chugging. And for me it's not the floats.
@PaulHamiltonCFI6 ай бұрын
If your floats pass the weight test, sounds like it is your carb bowl inlet seat or plug. Best thing is to have the carbs rebuilt otherwise you are chasing something that can be fixed.

Awesome. I just wish they had more starter trikes today as they did when I was younger. It would help getting people started at triking without breaking the bank.
@PaulHamiltonCFI7 ай бұрын
There are plenty of starter trikes pretty inexpensive if you look around. The single place ultralights are the least expensive.

steam fog, right? Wind shear possible in that stuff if I recall.
