I think they fumbled the origin of demons. They could have made it a wider expansive mystery but I guess it could still happen with it taking place in modern day Japan as well. But then again a story shouldn't have to take a thousand chapters or episodes. So Demon slayer's story did what it set out to accomplish and did it spectacularly

A lot of new anime seems to be more simplistic with less stakes or in depth characters. Things like perfect blue evangelion and monster are the exact opposite of this. You’re free to enjoy either i enjoy both

Its pretty simple, there is no longer place on the market for new anime like one piece, naruto and other like this. There are more reasons then one but for example the production cost of new gen anime. If one episode of anime costs around 100k then they just cant afford make anime that is meant to be for the long run, so the more you watch the more you get attached to characters and enjoy whatever they are doing, like in one piece where you will watch dressrosa, where litteral one day in the anime world is stretched to around 100 episodes. They need to make anine that can make the bag with 10 to 20 episodes per season with 3 seasons ussualy at best in source materials.

Kinda agree, but I feel she is complaining about the wrong thing dur to be on the spot. Demon slayer is a solid narrative and consistent. That being said the writter outside of the story claims the sword effects are purely mental which is jimust inconsistent with the story, art, and just lame idea. Additionally demon slayer might be solid but its also very simple. If you like a good narrative demon slayer is kinda like a snack. Good but not filling
