Since I have climbed the route multiple times with the same rope (which I have middle marked) the knots are a bit superfluous. There are times for tying knots in rap lines.... vertical single pitch sport climbing with a return to flat ground (with your head screwed on straight) is generally not one of them.

I second @Azgostix, and would like to add that rapping the full length of a rope without tying knots in the end is a huge leap of faith. Accidentally rapping off the end of a rope is generally not good for one's health.
