Great video Carlyle love hearing what you paid and what the graded were before cracking them free. Thank you for doing this one and I love 59’ topps 👊🤙🤙

Always hurts seeing the Murph in anything but a Braves uniform. Good pickups.

Never liked the 58-59 Topps designs.

You can find most of these under a complex in East Newark,NJ. I scattered 7,000 Topps cards in the formerly open field there in 1965 on which the complex was built shortly after.They didn't do cleaning jobs in those days.They just built on top of everything.

My all time favorite set. My dad bought me a full box for my 8th birthday. 24 packs @ 5c each. $1.20. It was a series 6 box. Wish I would have saved the box and wrappers. Just love this set.

Nice presentation, Carlyle. Enjoyed seeing some beautiful cards, and you obviously made some key purchases at the right time. Thanks for showing us part of a great set in your impressive collection.

Hey Carlyle great kashin card! I was wondering if you will ever do any more on your website. Like not just team sets and player collections. Maybe braves players who TTM or something like that
@thebatterycarlylerood26 күн бұрын
Not sure. The site isn't comprehensive. It's just a collection of cards I'm actively collecting.

Hello Eddy from "Eddy's Cardboard Chaos" send me toward you. Beautiful Warren Spahn 1954 Red Man Tobacco card...😍. Same thing for this beautiul Baseball T205 card...😍(hope a day i will succceed to add a T205 baseball card at my PC. Awome some succeeded to complete the Boston Braves T205 set ! WOW ! Thanks you for sharing and Happy Collecting.

I love the T205s. Between the T205s and T206s, the '5s look more like the actual players they depict. If your favorite team isn't in the NL, then I would actually recommend picking up one of the American League cards from that set. Their backgrounds are way more interesting.

Great cards Carlyle. That T207 Braves subset is probably the most difficult in the set. Slowly chipping at it myself. Great video sir!

Love the Bill Dahlen! Congratulations on completing the “Braves” run! Love the look of the Atlanta Crackers cards! I’m doing The Monster itself, but may have to add those to the “on deck” circle of what’s next!

I really like th’34-‘36 Batter Up Set! I think it’s because it’s old and it also reminds me of the’64 Topps Stand-up set which I loved as a kid. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about this set. Your discussion of the variations was very interesting. I only have a few of them. The Double Play card is also very cool! Again, your discussion of the T206 players was very interesting! Congratulations!

Great set Carlyle. I just have the Aaron but the seller didn’t package it well so there is a large crease across the middle. I’m on the hunt for a reasonably priced replacement for the collection. Congrats!

Cool, unique stuff. Dale Murphy is one of my favorite players. I heard John Kruk tell a funny story about Dale Murphy on one of Phillies broadcasts. Evidently when they were on the Phillies, the team was on the bus and John may have been a bit inebriated and was annoying his teammates and Dale got a bit irritated too. John said Dale Murphy was the most mild mannered guy, never got angry, so when Dale got agitated, it was something to pay attention to. Dale came up to John and said something like “John, if you don’t knock it off, I’m going to biff you. one.” I think he quit doing whatever he was going. 😅
@thebatterycarlylerood2 ай бұрын
Only someone like Murphy could pull off using "biff" in a sentence. :-)

I really enjoyed this video. You present the team sets in such a cool way, with the highlighted cards as the ones you have, and the shadowy effect on the cards you don't. How do you do that?

Thanks. I create an image in PhotoShop. I have scanned images of the cards I have and the ones I'm missing (from other sources). I change the opacity setting for the missing cards/images.
