Hey Peter - great video again ! While your 2 bottles are gradually reducing in pressure from ca. 300 bar towards say 150 bar (before you top them up again to ca. 300) - do you experience any instability in the system and the fps spread increasing ? In other words - do you have a bottle pressure "sweet spot range" ? Great content as always !

Hey buddy 🙂 Preasure on the 2nd reg remains the same all the way. Very sure that it is bcs of the 1st reg. But will say that it is not very often that I fill to 300 bar. When I fill my 9L bottle it will only fill the gun to 300 bar once ofcause. So maybe 1 in 10 fills will be to 300 bar. But still no change in fps 😇 I know that many dont like the 1st reg, but I absolutely love it 🤗

Interesting, i use a FX impact M3 in .25 cal and fill to 250 bar and get just over a mag ( 28 shots)with 42 grain slugs at 950 fps, my front reg is opened right up and my rear reg is at 160bar, i have toyed with the idea of getting a front reg delete but i have had this rifle for 3 years now and have had no issues so its a case of if its not broke then dont try and fix it.

I think that deleting the 1st reg makes more sense with super high preasure. But with a difference between 2nd reg and fill preasure being like mine it is quite a lot for the 2nd reg to handle alone and still be accurate 🙂

Awesome video and demonstration on both regs Peter I have a huma reg in my fx mk2 25 cal 700mm and a amp reg in my fx m3 22 cal 700mm both work about the same imo I don't have a problem with either one I polish the Belleville washers in both regs it helps out a lot for the reg creep well it did for me ,.make sure you tune your gun correctly I always go 20 to 30 fps higher then my desired fps I use the value adjustment to come down and the hammer tension it helps me out like that for tuning and creep . I used to just tune my gun to the speed I wanted it at and leave it then the next day say for example it was at 900 fps the next day the speed would drop down to like 880 and it would stay there or the spread and SD was very High or all over the place in between shots never consistent when I watched Ted bier the man the legend show us his secret on tuning his gun and Matt Dubber showed us as well how they tuned there guns it opened my eyes on how you have to balance the reg with the hammer tension ,anyways sorry for the long comment I can keep on going talking about this lol thank you Peter I like your channel keep on keeping on be safe my friend 💯

I've changed all my AMP regs with HUMA in 3 FX for this exact reason. OK if you just need to take one or two "recovery" shots every time you shoot it maynot be so bad but when you get to higher calibres it does matter. For example, in a .35 calibre you're getting 26 shots per fill you don't want to be wasting air like that.

I got a bit freaked shooting my Two yesterday, the 13 grain Zans was shooting pretty darn well at 1020 FPS, but yeah the sweet spot is a bit lower. later in the day as clouds and rain got near and so light dropped i changed to 50 M and even disposed of a few beast pellets i had in surplus, at 50 M the 13 gr Zans was just lasers at 972 FPS. Much better than the KO at the same speed / setting Mind you at 86 M they was also fine, i killed 1 fly and i am sure if flies have hair on their ass i removed those on another fly. Also killed a few flies and a small spider at 50 M, and cut countless blades of grass From 10 in the morning and until 7 in the evening i was one big smile,,,,,, yes when i shoot i SHOOT A LOT

@@VikingAirgunner Yes it is nice, ATM playing with the 13 grainers, next outing i will be more serious with the 16 grain Zans 13gr seem to run well from 910 to 1020 FPS. but somewhere in there is the sweet spot, and i think it is not far from the same speed my Maverick like to shoot the same ammo. Going shed building and of course shooting again Tuesday, and will probably again spend 2-3 days at my friends place. Have just ordered sekmet gauge for regulated pressure,,,, and HUMA regulator. And more 2" targets as i seem to have been burned 2 times with targets now. First on aliexpress with targets with no splatter effect, and the replacements i ordered in Finland, well i heard nothing since June 3 when i ordered. So i might have to take the drive back to Randers if Huma and Mundilar have stuff in the mail for me Wednesday. but i gladly do that for shooting hardware. And of course a pitstop on the way at the Kiosk in Bjerringbro for a nice old school ice cream in a cone.

The Impact suffers from o-ring stiction on the valverod due a bad design. It means it takes couple of shots before its back on speed. No blame to KZfaqrs, but they all keep this quiet. A forummember on Airgunnation has made a modified part for it, I run it in my Impact and the problem is gone. www.airgunnation.com/threads/fx-impact-mk2-m3-slower-first-shot-no-reg-creep-quasi-scientific-analysis.1175929/page-20#post-1760746

@@VikingAirgunner PS My perfect FPS is 988 to 997, from a 500mm STXS with 13 gr Zans. I can go up to 1009 FPS before accuracy starting dropping off, guessing due to barrel length/type, and anything less than 980 and accuracy reduces too. There are 2-3 sweet spots below, but this affects how far I can shoot. I'm only shooting 65m but regularly having groups of 12mm and hunt rabbit up to 100m with no problems. Great video but you should specify, calibre, length and type of barrel, and also projectile used to start your video, because I started watching this and then you hear the word slug over a minute into this video. Then you get a caption shooting 16grain Zan….? Put a header up describing your setup properly because that way people will move on, when they have larger calibres and different projectiles. For example, I have the same rifle and M3 Sniper, standard Barrel .25, and use pellets 33.95g and settings are not even close to what you are describing even though your methology is reasonably sound. So please describe your setup properly in the header to your video.

Hi Peter, thanks for the video. Question: huma-air offers you two regulators possibilities (low pressure range - extra high pressure range) if I install the extra high pressure range in Spain where the joules are limited to 24 means I will break this limiter? or there is any other component limiting the power and I could install that without worries? Just trying to understand how the gun components works
@VikingAirgunner
@VikingAirgunner 13 күн бұрын
I have never worked with guns that were limited, so I cant really say anything about that. The extra high preasure is made to be used between 100 and 200 bar, and I dont assume that you are in that range? Low goes up to 135 bar.

Started with a slightly heavier hammer before installing the Huma reg, and aparently it had a positive effect on consistancy. I love my Panthera after installing the Huma reg, but the 700 mm and 20 gr slugs would be a good match for the gun/plenum. It would be interesting to test that setup for the max power 😃😎 My 700 mm M3 could push 20 gr at 1060 fps. I would not be surprised to see the Panthera go past 1100 😎

I was under the impression that you won’t have excess air affecting your pellets if you have set up your gun correctly. That is the beauty of the fx m3.
@VikingAirgunner
@VikingAirgunner 20 күн бұрын
How to explain this.. When using the front valve adjuster in the tuning proces you can decide when the valve closes. If you reduce the velocity just a little the valve will not release air after the slug has left the barrel, but there will still be compressed air behind the slug. This is the air the muzzle brake is redirecting.
