Den 17 maj 1966 var jag på klassresa i Oslo. Oförglömliga minnen av ett så dygdigt land. Folk var så naturligt vänliga och hjälpsamma.👍🌞 Sen kom "svenskarna" och spred skräck och kaos.😣

@@Elya-ou3kf I'm not a viking, but I'm standing on the shoulders of them as an ethnic Swede, just as my Norwegian, Danish and Icelandic brothers and sisters do and the cultural heritage we share

I have almost the same experience. I'm a little bit annoyed we weren't taught any Old Norse at all in school. It's like I've been robbed of my cultural heritage. There was almost no time devoted to other (modern) Scandinavian languages as well. Greetings from a Norwegian.

@@Lightbeerer I'm sorry to hear it was the same in Norway, it makes we wonder how it is nowadays in the public schools around Scandinavia - I assume is even less time devoted to these subjects. If I ever have kids I will make sure they learn more, it's important to cherish the heritage, and it also makes us feel more connected to each other.

The boat is a masterpiece. For a short period I was owner of a boat from that builder/family. My fathers family are from that erea and someone from that family gave me the boat. In think the boat was buildt around 1930 and I had the boat for a short period in 1998-99. I riged the boat and made cotton sail for it. Those I still have and will now go into a new boatproject. The boat was old but the build quality was good and it was like new. A mix of tar and terpentin was aplied on it yearly so the boat was dark as the night. It was very easy to row and sail. We don't call it Nordfjordboat but Nordfjordfæring. This kind of boats was build already from 1200 year ago.

Damn and fuck! So much meaningless plunder and crap work only to make the boat sailable. Glad I have a motorboat, and just have to sit down in the driver's seat and turn the key. Well, there still is this preindustrial, culturally and technologically retarded thing called mooring, or as I like to call it: parking and unparking the boat.. Why is there no switch on my dashboard that says "mooring loose/mooring fixed"? Ropes are preindustrial and hence unacceptable in our times, like shoelaces when we have velcro. There must be an end to worshipping and exalting the misery of pre-industrial poverty! Disgusting mold and crap all together.
