Can you make a video about how to replace the screen? Mine cracked and it broke. Also where to buy a part. Line 6 Pod Go.

@henrydueckmusic 18 күн бұрын
These are just videos of repairs I’ve done on my own gear - I have not had to repair a screen before. For parts, you could contact Line 6 support, or more likely, a store that deals in Line 6.

If you use the main out for the guitar then you can’t use the FX loop for an in-ear mix. It will send the monitor mix out along with the guitar signal.

I have 2 Line-6; Spider-II Amp and PodHD500X. Used each of them less than 100 hours but 2 footswithes went bad. Typical China quality. On my 500X, it is the far left UP switch. Still don't know how to fix it.

Could you give us a video where you show us how you set up your hd500x please? I have so many questions, like why would you want to turn your amp on and off, why is there a reverb before the amp, should I also use 2 delay pedals. You seem to be one of the few guys on YT that really knows what you’re doing with this stuff
@henrydueckmusic
@henrydueckmusic 5 ай бұрын
I don't have the Pod HD500X anymore, as I'm now using the Pod Go, but I can try to answer your questions here. 1 - An example of why you might want to be able to turn off the AMP BLOCK on a preset would be if you were using the same effect chain for acoustic and electric guitar, and you needed to turn off the amp block when you switched to acoustic guitar. 2 - REVERBS are typically used after the amp block, but there are not really any rules to this. Some people like the sound of a reverb before the amp as it will react differently when placed there. If you like the sound, then it's not really wrong. 3 - DELAY pedals can be stacked to create more complex delays. Stereo delays can also be used to accomplish this. The reason I stacked two delays was so I could set one at 1/8 and the other at 1/8d. This way I could easy toggle between the two note values, or turn on both for more complex "U2 - Edge" style delays.

Thank you I’ve been trying to work more in planning center since I can use it at home and we only have one seat on the PP for our church computer! Also, when you use a file document you can format the sections before importing it by putting brackets around headers and PP will read and separate it for you. You would need to put [verse 1] [verse 2] [chorus] it works really well when not importing from song select 😊

Great video. Not sure if you use SongSelect, but if so, do you prefer the copy/paste approach out of Planning Center (PC) vs simply importing the lyrics straight from SongSelect within ProPresenter (PP)? We integrate PC directly into PP7 and it works great BUT I wish it brought over the lyrics automatically since they are often attached as files in PC. The only way it will auto populate lyrics is if the song is already in your PP library. So, although we get the PC program to come over into PP7, we still have to search for any “new” songs in SongSelect and import the lyrics / apply a theme.

Because I’m using the FX send to go to the PA. If you use the main outputs to the PA then your in-ear monitor mix would also be sent back to the PA and create a feedback loop.

Yes, that would sum it to mono. I usually don’t use stereo effects. If you put the stereo effects after the cab, and the effects loop after that, then you can use the FX out in stereo.

Hey man, this is pretty cool I was thinking of buying a pod to use as a basic vocal effects box, but then thought about the ability of using it as an in ear system. Either for myself so i can hear myself on stage better, or trying to get as many of my band mates sounds through it as well. Do you think its possible to run this as a vox processor, and running in 2 guitars (and maybe a bass) at once for an in ear signal? I dont think id need the POd to emulate guitar rigs, since they run an AxeFx 2 and a joyo zombie. Figured i could maybe just run an out from both of those to the FX loop return and use the mixer to do that? Was trying to choose between the 500/500x floor board, the HD bean, or the HD pro. probably looking at the board or the pro. thanks!

The process outlined in the video should do the job for what you're planning - all you need to modify is to set the input for path A to the MIC input, and use vocal effects instead of guitar processing on path A. The monitor mix coming back in through the FX Loop can have as many things in it as you send into a monitor mix from your sound board. As long as the unit you're buying has an effects loop that you can place at the end of the signal path, it should work. : )

You could do that if you set the mic input as the input source for path B, but you have to be careful to not overdrive the input - start with the mic level really low.

I want to sincerely thank you for this tutorial. For a number of years I have been writing word-for-word Scripture Songs and creating lyric videos with typical video editor software. It takes me normally 2-3 hours just to create the video, and I really do not enjoy that process. I actually dread it, and I have a ton of songs that I have put off sharing for this reason. This simple process of using Keynote has trimmed that down to about 15 minutes - and I'm actually excited about making these videos now! Thank you, thank you, thank you! God bless you!

Henry, I agree that in modern music theory, in the Major scale the supertonic, ii, is minor. What I'm trying to explain is that it is not so in the NNS. At 5:20 in your video you say, "the 1 is always Major, the 2 is ALWAYS minor, the 3 is ALWAYS minor, etc. This is not so in the NNS. ALL THE CHORDS IN THE NASHVILLE NUMBER SYSTEM ARE MAJOR CHORDS, ...ALWAYS!...UNLESS THEY ARE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATED AS SOMETHING OTHER THAN MAJOR! There is no rule, no principle, no theory, that supersedes this simple concept. If you write a 2, every professional musician in Nashville will play that as a Major chord, which is why when you and others continue to say, "the 2 is always minor", you are incorrect. I'm just trying to set the record straight. Best to you!
