If you ever get a real stubborn top hat washer stuck in a sprocket lay the sprocket flat on table with the big side of the washer sticking up toward you now tap the back of the ratchet with something or just swing down the ratchet so the socket taps the washer it’ll fall right out. Makes life easy whenever you get that little annoying washer stuck. Never let a stupid washer slow you down from an install again 😂 the one in the video luckily came out with some wiggles but I’ve had some really bad stuck ones that wouldn’t budge without tools

Really nice-looking bike. I'm not built for anything bigger than a 26" bike but that one really looks cool. I've always been drawn to that double top tube because it looks unique, but it's unique with a purpose! It's functional art. I just bought a hew bike about a month ago so I'm not even gonna check on pricing and availability. I might end up kicking myself. What did you think of the carbon bars you were originally running. They seemed a bit narrow, but I like the idea of saving weight on a big bike like that.🤙

Hey thanks for watching! I still have it and use it a few times a year. For long rides, I went back to a traditional bag and carrying water bottles because I need to carry basic tools and the mxxy bag was tight on space for tubes etc. I hear they have a new version now though. It’s a cool concept and two dudes hustling to make it work. If you need hydration and light tools, it’s ideal. Good luck!

thanks for reply, have a question. I bought one, open box and it's the old version. I didn't get any instructions and on Mxxy's website they only have ones for the new bladder. Most is the same, or easy to figure out. But the newer model has a quick release to get the top off the mix dial for cleaning inside. I'm assuming this one should be cleaned inside too. But there's definitely not a quick release snap like the new one. After fiddling with it for half an hour, either I'm dumb or this doesn't come apart. And I can't imagine it shouldn't be cleaned inside. I feel like if I pull harder it'll break, and I don't want use more pressure uless I know it does come apart but just requires a lot of force or something. Do you know how to get that apart? I emailed them and still haven't heard back. If I don't hear back from them within a few week and you don't know, I guess I'll buy the new bladder, it looks like a nice upgrade anyways lol.

I dig those hella bright yellow spokes they pop! Very cool they made that frame with a caliper mount for rear disc. I run those same flight cranks keep an eye on the spindle screw I had one that kept backing out on me, lost it and had to order a set they are locktite in now. Also I am a bit surprised they left the tube ends open on the chain stays and sets stays. As always thanks for the great content Issac!

Hey… I remember meeting Gary Pollack at a Haro demo back in 1986 at a bike shop I worked at in center city Philadelphia. Dude was a small kid maybe a little bigger than Scotty Freeman. Anyways Gary knew tricks that were difficult and not yet in the magazine’s… I remember his name because the kid had bad ass tricks. I’m pretty sure the rider from Haro were pretty impressed.

How do the 1.3 Ame grips compare to the ODI DREADLOCK SILICONE GRIPS?
@BigBikeBMX
@BigBikeBMX 14 күн бұрын
Dreadlocks are softer, but silicone is so fragile in my experience. The 1.2 and 1.3 with the soft compound are my new go-to. Way less forearm strain and fatigue because the thicker outside diameter. You’ll like em bro - you ride a lot so you’ll notice

How many teeth do you run on your hub in the back? I’m running 18t freewheel in the back and 36t sprocket in the front and it feels like I’m pedaling a mountain bike in first gear I’m trying to see if I need to increase my freewheel size or my sprocket size to increase the speed per pedal rotation. The pedaling is just way too easy it’s hard to catch any real speed 20 inch bike
