Hey thanks for that Brother. Most of my videos are merely the easiest way I have found to clean, disassembly and reassemble firearms. This one in particular I had a tough time with, couldn’t find a consistent or easy video on how to put in the bolt and receiver cover so after messing around stumbled onto this way and I have received a lot of positive feedback. Thanks for watching and subscribing, happy pew pew on.

The explanation on how to replace the bolt and lever cover at 10:15 was a thing of beauty! Every other video has an "awkward moment" when trying to reassemble with the bolt in the cover. Thanks for this video!

thanks Brother. as long as the little pin on the dust cover latch comes out easy and if the rear sight doesn’t have the little pin in it then yes it’s pretty simple. if you go this route remember the leave in the rear sight spring plate or the rail will wobble. I also found the quick release pin was useless too as it left play on the rear of the rail, I ended up using the solid pin that also came with the kit instead so it all stays true to hold zero. I do have a video coming out on July 10 th of the range tests, works pretty good, fun shooter. I have no plans for a mag mod… yet 👍

just the typical Guv over reach up here. People need to know what’s going on and how to protect their rights. our Guv pops out the “emergency measures act” which is basically Martial Law at any whim to be able to use the Military to “assist” local law enforcement. I believe they are testing the waters for future Military use towards civilians. Scary times up here right now. How’s things in sunny California?

Great thing about voting, I always go with the lesser of the evils in Canada… but I will never vote for any party who takes away my freedoms like our current Guv does. As for the ability for EDC here it will never happen 😢 too bad because the criminals don’t follow that law and if you try to protect your stuff or even your life here, you may end up being charged, so so backwards. I know you all are facing constant threat and firearm restrictions but I tell you I do admire your 2a would be nice to have something similar here. Cheers Brother.

Hey Brother thanks for the comment, you are, of course entitled to your opinion. I don’t think it is ruined, just the opposite. it can all be reversed with no signs of the build, but I did think long and hard over it before proceeding. I already have a “trailer queen” SKS that I am merely babysitting until it gets willed down so I wanted to see just how far and how accurate this one could actually perform.I really can appreciate your view on this however as I once was a purist and considered it an abomination to alter any milsurp firearm. I can appreciate your view on this as believe it or not I do respect and love Milsurps in general but especially the SKS. I do own an unfired 1952 Tula with the gold tinge bayo, that will not see ammo as long as I own it. I did do my best to hide any alterations and I believe I can mend the tiny hole I drilled if I wish to put it back to stock. the reason I didn’t go with an ATI chassis is simply because of the rich colour in the original stock and wanting it to still retain its SKS appeal to me. Cheers and thank you for your comment.

Sir i have Chinese tt pistol now tell me that if I keeping magazine full load all the year it's magazine spring will be lose or damaged and next what is the service life of Chinese tt pistol barrel
@JohnVanDyk
@JohnVanDyk 4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment/question. it is the belief that the springs will be fine if left full load, I do not leave it full load however so I can not confirm this. The barrel on these pistols is like most others, the service life depends on several factors. the amount of ammo through it, how it has been maintained, how it is stored etc, will all play into the service life. many of these pistols are from the late 50’s and still maintain a lot of service life. keep it clean, lubed and store in a dry place, be careful if using surplus corrosive ammo as clean up must be more thorough.

When I pulled the plug and decided to go for it, I made sure and was careful to make sure I could re install all parts to original. I did not see any sense in owning a “trailer queen SKS” life is short, I make them (firearms)work for me and in some cases that means a mod here and there.
